Passed the accident at 2, got stuck in Newry at about 4, got out of there at 5:30!

What exactly happened? Did the lorry chance upon the tractor and shunt if off the road? It looked horrid when I passed it.

I had to call to Carnbane to pick up a clutch cable :pac: I haven't a clue how it happened, lorrey had damage to the front left so I'm guessing clipped the tractor and pushed it into the barrier

I was about 15 mins getting around traffic :p however traffic coming from Camlough and Bessbrook into Newry was completely gridlocked for miles....

It was seriously mental at 4ish when I hit it, wasn't massively bothered as I wasn't in a rush.

It looked an awful accident, I nearly had a heart attack at the sight of the tractor.

Have to say the PSNI have some serious vehicles at their disposal!
@ toasted, I suspect we all think pred is a bit strange, and OLD

No trip to the north is complete without seeing some PSNI kit

Looked to have happened a while when I got there! Some mental accidents have happened there, like a car transporter full of cars hitting another lorrey and a car flipping on its roof near that weird aluminium house, hence the sandbags....

You're fine, of course you're still on everyones good side.

If needs be I'll placate the elderly one with a drive in my car. (Did you mention you got one yesterday? :pac:)

Seriously mental accidents there, I'm working up there next week, and expecting to hit at least one, it's like a blackspot, but they don't have them.

I remember one of the first times I drove to Belfast for work, they have that automatic thing where they broadcast traffic info over your radio, I nearly had a fupping heart attack at this weird coming on and telling me how the traffic was in my area!

Finding it very difficult to find a compressor map for a GT15 with an a/r of 0.43..... Or just ditching that idea in favour for a KP35, uprated wastegate and something hooge to feed into it.... You can guess what I'm attempting to do ;)

    Yaaaay post #8888!

Missed all the funny traffic on the A1/M1 today thank ****. Also got this on the way up. Not even driving that economically, tipping along on the twisty bits between Navan and Slane and cruising on the M1.

Pig of a job to fit. They are not directly compatible. Its a case of stripping down the fabia seat to the metal base and runners, do the same with the octavia seats then swap foam and material over to the fabia base, bolt on the back of the seat and the plastic trim.
The backs have to be swapped over also as the latching points are different. Also the octavia seats are wider so a piece of foam needs to be cut out and the material re-stretched over it.
Had to change as the original seats were impossible to keep clean and it was impossible to find a decent seat cover that would fit them and not look chav.

Not as supportive as the original cloth seats but are a lot easier to keep clean.
You cant see in the pics but they have the vrs logo etched into them

I'm doing my MSc in Queens so I pass that way often enough. I could go the N51-Navan or go dunleer-slane-navan. Is there a funner way? :P

If you wanted to, you could have done a good job on the seats to get them as clean as possible and then coat them in Gtechniq I1. That creates a barrier on cloth/carpets/upholstery so that dirt can't stick to it. All you'd need do is hoover and wipe with a cloth if needed.

One application would last about 6 months even with everyday use of the seats.

From Slane to Navan the fun way is to take the R163 to Kells.... Nice twisty road with deceptive corners. I loved it in the blue van, not so much in the 406's but still fun in a good handling car

Well I guess you could go through Rathkenny and Grangegeith, brings you near enough to Collon, is very scenic and twisty.... Prob best reserved for time taking :p

I'll get up early some day for it :)

Though I need to think about replacing the front tyres on the C5. They were a bit light on the wet roads this evening.

I'm using their products regularly now :D

I've even coated my shoes in the I1 because if water gets on them it just beads straight off again. Very handy for when washing the car.

    My point exactly!

TP - I'm telling the truth! It's designed mainly for liquid spills in a car. Whatever the liquid is, it will bead up so you can mop it up and still have 100% dry carpet instead of soaking into the carpet and possibly causing a smell.
