I'd be annoyed about the padlock, but pleasantly surprised that someone had bought me a gate.

I can't believe it only took you 3 minutes to come up with that. First reply and all. Id tip my hat if I had one. And if you could see me.

I know its wrong but its piss funny. I think I may have a problem as I'm spending quite a bit on locks now:o

How would you react if you found a big dirty padlock on your gate when trying to go to work in the morning?

I suspect your making it all up...how do you react to that?....discuss...

We used to put lollipop sticks in to pay phones. They fall straight through and prevented people from collecting change at the end of the day we'd use the handset to smack the finger gate where you collected the change this would break the stick and we could collect the change.

we used the same scam,we were a bit more advanced tho,we would wait till the change slot was almost full, and use a tweezers to remove a few coins and then when the gap was wide enough to put two fingers in,scoop out all the coins and put another icepop stick in the coinslot thus not damaging the phone and reducing our income.

Our way didn't damage the phone either, the handsets were fairly tough

Funny as a once off prank but shelling out money on locks suggests possible mental illness, dwelling with parents and no sex life.

    Ahhhh, touché!

Sure kids are small enough. Just fcuk it over the gate and then hop it yourself. You're going to the hospital anyway, might as well make it worth the trip

I presume the car that you might want to drive to the hospital in is actually outside the gate, or would you just fcuk that over the gate as well ?

I'd cut the lock off, find out where you live, and give you back your lock (through your window pane)!

We used to nail people's doors shut then paint all the windows with black hammerite.
They'd think they'd gone blind then they'd think they'd gone mad.

    How we laughed.

yeah but our method was quite stealthy,if somebody seen you battering the coin flap with the handset like a maniac the local gendamre would definitely be informed! with our method passers by would just see a phone user collecting his change.we would only do our round once a week per box,of which we had about 20,once a week so there would be a decent and altogether sleeker and more sophisticated operation.the local hash merchants were 'coining' it in with us.

I hope none of them have to leave in a hurry with a sick child or the likes.

Why a sick child? why not just say a sick person or is a sick child even more important?

Your just hamming it up in search of more "Thanks" I believe. How many have you in your "Thanks piggy bank" now?

Well I'm not sure I'd go that far, as it's not exactly morbid or dangerous. But yeah, I'd worry that there was a screw loose somewhere.

It is dangerous if you're a carer for a disabled person and need to get them somewhere or get a kid to hospital, or need an ambulance, or any number of everyday emergencies.

Of course that's why, its extremely common in the media. just like they mention chemo in this article about glued front doors.

    http://www.u.tv/News/Donegal-residents-fear-over-glue-attacks/a499ebe9-11bd-46af-920f-a3c82373081e

Residents say they do not know who is behind the glue incidents, but they want them to stop.

"There's a woman down there and she's not well, and she had to climb over her back wall," explained Noreen McKeever, "and she's getting chemo and she was in a bad way. She was locked in the house and she couldn't open the door at all."

For others, they are worried about what would happen if there was a house fire as it would be impossible to get out if their doors were glued shut.
