It's too late to get it some where else, the ****ers have left me with either getting no bundle or waiting at this stage until after Christmas.

I'll wait and may just cancel near launch if the offer they have is not great and do without.

As we all know at this stage that GameStop left us online customers out in the cold, regarding the bundle deals.I had being chasing up their original statement(Stating Sony told them not to offer the bundle online) which was confirmed as untrue. So basically they just decided not to cater for their online customer base, regardless the amount of bundle stock they were allocated!!

Anyway here was my final correspondence today regarding the matter, from Sony.
    Hi bazzz,

Thanks for your recent contact with PlayStation Support.

We have investigated your query, and i can confirm that the allocation of PlayStation 4 bundles to consumers with pre-orders is determined by the retailer based on the stock they have been allocated and due to this, I regret that we are unable to assist further in this regard.

I am sorry we are unable to help on this occasion, however if you have any further queries please call PlayStation Support on 0844 736 0595, quoting reference 3410551, where one of our team will be happy to help you. You’ll find our opening times below, however you might find it easier to speak to our team during our quieter period between 11:00 and 15:00. Calls to PlayStation Support cost 4p per minute from a BT land line however calls from other providers and mobile operators may vary.

    Thank you,

    Chris

From what Gamestop told me they'll be offering discounts on add ons to your order so I'll wait for that, if it they don't make good then **** em I'm done with them.

Where did u order urs mate?

Not naming store as the old saying goes god is watching or in this case dog is watching, it is ordered in a gamestop not happy at what I am reading with all the rigmarole to upgrade to a bundle which was announced on the PSN store front update several weeks ago, these guys are the preferred retailer for this item by Sony yet at the moment we all have a better chance of getting a bundle console from ****ing Tesco or Harvey Norman rather than a Video Game retailer, could organise a piss up in a brewery situation here,I am getting worried myself.

If you're talking about the €600 PS3 going for €630 it's not comparable as the rumour was that it was being sold at a $200 loss, and when you consider the tiny margin that shops were likely getting all over and selling at €600 it make sense that Ireland whose vat was higher would be having problems even making a profit.

This was one issue at the time but also the bull**** excuses of why there were so few consoles and the fact that many consoles were sold on there own without the possibility of buying bundles, I don't know I am just pissed at being fobbed off every time I try to upgrade,I just want the peace of mind that will come with the confirmation that I have my bundle secure,

We will have to wait and see,but I don't expect too much.At the end of the day, they ****ed us over.Like it's not the end of the world, but where's the love for the customers!

It was pretty small time that Gamestop blamed Sony about the online debacle, how stupid did they think people were trying to claim that Sony dictated to them not to offer bundles to online preorder customers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,805 ✭✭✭✭siblers

I wouldn't be expecting much of a discount, there is such little markup on Consoles that they'd be pushed to discount anything extra. Gamestop don't really pass me as a company who'd be willing to take a hit to make up for their major error.

Not as bad as that UK site saying that Sony were making them give people expensive bundles.

I agree, but at least they have been shown up as a dishonest company that has no loyalty to it's customers.
A lot of people including myself will avoid Gamestop going forward, It's not like GS was ever cheaper than anyone else! and they're customer services now speaks for itself.

It works out about €16 dearer in euros then if you got the €399 Killzone Bundle and bought Fifa separately in a store, so assuming your using Amazon it is a good deal if thats where you have ordered. The PS3 controllers still set you back over €50 so they will be that price.

Also you do know there is a cheaper bundle that has the 2 Controllers, Camera, Fifa and the Console.

I don`t see a bundle with Fifa without Killzone.

Fifa, killzone, camera and extra controller is £469 (not £489) they either changed it or I typed it wrong originally.

It is here on Shopto, could of sworn I saw it on Amazon as well, might have sold out though http://www.shopto.net/product/search/genre/HARDWARE/platform/ps4

Great to see the support from fellow gamers. Gamestop was saved by gamers kicking up about DRM and now this is how they show their gratitude! Shameful!

Ordered 22 of August with Amazon. Got two emails off them yesterday. The first one giving me an estimated delivery date of 29th or 30th of Nov (which I'm delighted about!), the second offering me a choice of bundles.

Just received confirmation email from Amazon after Live Chat as you commented that you got your estimated delivery date and bundle offer. I got neither and ordered 24 August from Amazon.

"Please be assured that you will receive an e-mail notification form us with the link of the bundles before the release date of the console and you will receive your order before Christmas. "

What really are the chances of a pre-Christmas delivery? (How long's a piece of string?)

Well if you ordered before the 31st of August you have far more of a chance then you would of had after that date, although Amazon are telling people who ordered after the 8th of August that they will get their console as more stock comes in and that stock will be prioritised by the date you ordered, when will that come in and how much they get, who knows.

I didn`t get the option for that bundle.. maybe bundle offers are different depending on if your getting UK ( which I did - parcel motel NI) delivery or Ireland.

Anyway, that bundle for £449 on the link you gave me does not give much of discount if any..just its handy for it to be delivered all at once I guess.. for an extra £20 might as well get killzone and the camera included too.

Are shopto still claiming that you can pre-order now and get it on release? Looking on their website I can't see any indication of their first batch being sold out.

I don't mean to be mean but game shops really shouldn't hire people who know nothing about the items they're selling. I understand a lot of the people working in them are part time but even still.

I don't understand why they cant offer the bundles with a game of your own choice. I mean the bundles are good value but i've no interest in Killzone or Watchdogs so in the end I just went for the console only "bundle"

It's because it's not the shop putting the bundle together, they're official bundles from Sony. Sony either publish the game (Killzone) or more than likely did a deal with the publisher (Watch Dogs). It's the same as the X1 with Forza and Fifa. They were never going to be a game of your choice.

Might be better, but I would have the least faith and trust in getting a console from them of the stores that are selling them here.

Are they guaranteeing to have it on launch day from HM if it's listed as in stock?

Forza and Fifa are a much better choice to be fair!

Would have loved COD, Need for speed or even Drive Club.. Is that not published by Sony?

I know what you mean, I would not trust them too.

    Go Harvey Go!

Depends on what you are into really, they are 4 very different games. Racer, Sports, FPS or third person semi open world adventure.

I'd by more than happy with any of them bar FIFA.

Went into Harvey Norman on Saturday and they took my pre-order and said I'd be getting one the ps4's from their first shipment. The guy did say that the shipment might not be available on the 29th though. He's in for a serious wake up call should that happen. I'm not pushed but I know a lot of people who are.

Seeing as you need to be a Plus member to play online with the PS4 everyone will have DriveClub Plus Edition free from day one anyway. Not much point in Sony bundling DriveClub at all.
