Might give Harvey Normans a go if some people are being guaranteed to get it and only pre-ordering now! Anyone try them with the mega bundle with the extra controller?

That's what the girl at Smyths implied. That's why they are asking people to bfirm which bundles they want, so that they can order the right amount of stock

They know the stock they will be getting, the bundles are not new stock, they are upgrades of existing stock.

Does anyone know what date Smyths in Blanch have gotten up to with regards ringing people for bundles? I'm not sure what number I am on the preorder list but I'd be curious to know what month they're up to?

Booked mine in xtravision, they say i was first to express an interest in the megapack :)
I think people held off ordering there as it had been closing, then reopened as xtravision/hmv

    When did you do this?

I prebooked in xtravision in July. I went in last week to prebook the mega bundle to be told if I did I would go to the back of the queue and not get it launch day. He advised me to stay with what I had to be sure I would get it launch day. He didn't know much about the what was happening about the bundles so rang the guy in charge of gaming, and he said they would be texting people to see if they wanted to upgrade but wouldn't be till November and by then they'll have decided what their own bundles are going to be.

That can,t be right about going to the back of the pre order list is you change to the Mega bundle, I ordered thee Mega bundle in games top and what they are doing is on the release day your standard order gets changed to Mega bundle

Yeah, yer man said that I might be able to pre order online but the option was removed from his system. In store.
It's shocking that in 2013 stores like HN and GS cannot have their store systems and online system all on the same hymn sheet.

I pre-ordered in HN this morning but the guy was reluctant to take the order and then seemed to think that HN might not get their shipment in until after release. This guy was the store manager so I did kinda ave a go at him asking why they're still allowing people to order online if they can't guarantee anything.

I don't think they realize that they will open the gates of hell should pre orders not be available on launch day!

just got a call from gamestop Waterford so the mega bundles been reserved for me for November

few things they said to me though

    1) If you change your mind on the bundle you want after reserving it, youll automatically go back down the list for pre-orders and probably will be well after Christmas that you get it

    and

    2) your reservation will be held for 40 hours after launch if not collected it will be sold on

    Shin

Has anyone got any info about about persons on the second list of orders in gamestop? Expected date?

That reservation thing is really good thing. I talked to buddy about it in gamestop. There are always lots of horse **** peddlers. They put 20eu deposit on machine and the Expect gamestop to keep it for a month or two until they ready or got money together.

So those who are not on first list and close to cut off point for Tue first batch might get lucky and get ps4, which were not picked up.

The Killzone mega bundle is up on the German gamestop site but not the Irish one and they said they won't know what online orders can get until much nearer release.

Quite a few countries are saying they will not be able to honour preorders that were made after the 31st of August till the end of January or early February, it will probably be the same here, if you ordered before that you have a chance of getting it before Christmas, but nothing is guaranteed.

It's too late to get it some where else, the ****ers have left me with either getting no bundle or waiting at this stage until after Christmas.

I'll wait and may just cancel near launch if the offer they have is not great and do without.

Got mine booked in gamestop still waiting to upgrade to the €499.99 Killzone bundle, if they screw over people on this I hope they go out of business, too much liberty is being took with this mainly as the are now the only real dedicated games only retailer on the Irish high street, so they seem to think it's fair game to act like this. I wouldn't be surprised to see them tack on a price hike on these bundles due to supply or lack there of, anyone remember the PS3 launch debacle.

If you're talking about the €600 PS3 going for €630 it's not comparable as the rumour was that it was being sold at a $200 loss, and when you consider the tiny margin that shops were likely getting all over and selling at €600 it make sense that Ireland whose vat was higher would be having problems even making a profit.
