I accosted him in that chipper beside the Olympia telling him how much I fancied him (early 20s - drunk and foolish), he hugged me then tried to give me a drunken kiss. How can you not say that was romantic?

I was wondering if James Nesbitt was married, googled him and found this :pac:

The auld drunken horn has taken it's toll, although obviously the split is amicable and no-one else is involved etc. etc.

You should be asking why you have such a hard time believing other people could feel differently than you do.

As a Woman, I love the power of make up :) when I do bother with it. You can go from plain to Decent in a few minutes :)

have a look at the girl in link below, to me seems quite average looking, then Bam! the make up goes on and you have a Bombshell

Do you really think Monroe wasn't a dish in her day?

Come on man she was drop dead gorgeous, the original blond bombshell.

Oh yeh, cannot understand the likening of Emma Watson to Aphrodite. She's nice-looking yet unremarkable, that's about it!

I think she's wearing far too much make-up, but otherwise yeh, I lol at people saying even a bit of make-up is fake and unattractive. Bless 'em.

Lengthening my eyelashes and giving my lips more definition with lip-liner/lip-stain (not even lipstick) is going to make me look better. It's not rocket science!

I've got a student from Poland in my class who's the absolute SPIT of Scarlett (minus the massive cleavage) and has the very same voice but with a Polish accent, so you can just imagine. She's probably the most naturally stunning woman I've ever been in close proximity with.

always thought she was a bit dopey looking to be honest.
I get WHY she was considered a sex symbol but it's mostly because sex hadn't been invented then but to me she's fairly unremarkable, just above average type woman. Compared to today's standards she's practically dull.

Facially, she wouldn't really have been in the league of some of her contemporaries eg. Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, Gina Lollobrigida.

Don't agree with that! The standards back then were as high as they are now.

We'll probably have to wait till the "class photo" (the four of us) at the end of the year. She's absolutely stunning - kinda off putting when you're trying to teach her.

Can't believe we're on page 2 and no mention of Sarah Jessica Parker.

Tell me there's one man who fancies her apart from her husband? I've seen better looking horses.

Hold on, maybe I'm a bit late to the party, but SJP in Hocus Pocus, before SATC fame, was hot.

always thought a young Brigette Bardot looked like Vanessa Paradis, who I remember being the ultimate in kitteh stakes when I was a teenager, puts it in perspective a bit. (tbf I'm more likely to consider someone like Nigella Lawson as sexy so my taste is probably a bit skewed)

If you watch the pilot of SATC, she has a good bit more weight on her, and looks are better for it. Then by episode too, that pleasant padding is goneski!

Beg to differ...she's a head on her like Mr. Ed... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_em1NcViWsbE/S-2KGsWNC2I/AAAAAAAABes/9Z2QY8BwfUc/s1600/mred7vj.jpg ...but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if I was an oil painting I'd be a Picasso :D :P

Then there is Raquel Welsh , who in my book is STILL stunning. Ok, she does wear a LOT of makeup, but still I think she is gorgeous :) 73??

I wonder what she would have looked like if she hadn't done any work? I am sorry, this is OT but I just happened across this clip while googling healthy eating. I mean, this woman is 70!!!! but could easily pass for a 40 something. I wish I had the will power to go raw vegan.

Ahem. I call shenanigans on her looking young because of a raw vegan diet. A raw vegan diet is not ideal or healthy in the first place*, and secondly her youth may have nothing to do with her diet and may be down to her specific genetics (besides which, people of African descent tend to age better due to thicker skin).

Actually I even call shenanigans on her even being the age she claims

*Comprehensive debuking of raw foodist nonsense

I remember when Paris Hilton was seen as a sex bomb, my mates thought I was gay because I didn't like her. She looked like a melted mop handle and was about as hot as a wet fart.

Well Black don't crack as they say and with good reason. While slightly thicker skin is an advantage(men tend to age in the skin more slowly because of this), sun exposure is about the number one cause of skin damage and signs of aging, so if you've got built in factor 20 from birth(much of this damage happens before 20) you're onto a winner. Look at those women who loved sunbeds in their 20's, they look well ropey by 40.

As for her true age? I knew an African woman who was in her mid 60's and even up close if you had told me she was late 30's I'd have easily believed you. She looked pre middle age if you know what I mean. I saw a link recently where a black bloke in the UK was carded for ID buying booze and he was 50 and he really didn't look 50, 30 at a push and it would be pushing it.

I'd agree re the diet. I recall reading somewhere that meat eaters had better skin(though higher risk of other illnesses). Makes some sense as they'd have high protein intake, which is gonna feed the skin more. Building collagen from fruit ain't gonna be as easy and veg protein is different to animal. He avoidance of breast cancer which seems to run in her family would be more down to diet. High meat intake raises the risk and veganism lowers it. Ditto for her lack of diabetes.

Then again what might be working is not so much the type of diet, but the amount of calories she's taking in. High nutrient low calorie diets are the only proven way(outside of genetic manipulation) to extend longevity and health in mammals, so if she was getting all the nutrients, but in a low cal package that might explain it, but we'd be talking very low calories. Those longevity diets are under 1000 cals a day so maybe not.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.
