Just watching sky news. Tracey Connolly, the mother of baby p, will soon be released. She was jailed indefinitely in May 2009 with a minimum detention of 5 years.

It's not even 5 years yet so wtf are the parole board doing? Scum like her should rot!

Baby P was a 17-month-old British boy who died in London after suffering more than fifty injuries over an eight-month period, during which he was repeatedly seen by Haringey Children's services and NHS health professionals. Baby P's real first name was revealed as "Peter" on the conclusion of a subsequent trial of Peter's mother's boyfriend on a charge of raping a two-year-old.

I remember having to study this story in Sociology class when it happened years ago...it was one of the things that made me think I definitely couldn't hack being a social worker

looking at my beautiful 2 year old running around here playing gives me a shiver considering he is the same age as that poor child. that woman should be sterilised when she gets out

This woman is a danger. She was housed as a single mother. She moved a man who was not the childs father into her home. As I understand it, she then allowed his 36 year old brother, who was either a known sex offender or known pedophile to move in with them. When Baby P died, this man fled with his 15 year old girlfriend.

The whole case was sickening beyond belief

If she has indeed topped the scales at 23 stone,300+ pounds,150 kg-her body probably won't be able to concieve and the number of men either willing or indeed able will be like hens teeth.

Whatever about OH's comments earlier-I believe she deserves to be in prison for longer than that-don't try to tarnish everyone who disagrees with the leniency of the sentance as a DM rent-a-mob

I just don't understand why A)she wasn't sentenced for longer than 5 years and

why she didn't even complete her 5 year sentence...am I missing something? Someone like her does not belong in society, I can't think of one contribution she could possibly make.

I have no shame at all in being in the hang 'em high camp for crime like this.
In fact I'd be at the forefront of the rabble calling for blood.
Some crimes are too far out there for redemption and this is one.

This was long term torture of a defenceless child - it deserves a death penalty or locking up for life.

Its actually just over 6 years as time in custodial remand pre-trial counts as part of the sentence. The child died in 2007.
btw I'm not defending the sentence, merely pointing out the parole board have followed it.

Because the British Justice system is F**ked Up.

Jason Owen, the "boyfriend's" brother ( and one totally sick b@stard )was releases on parole after serving only three years.

He has since been re-arrested and jailed.

Is anyone surprised ?

WTF were they thinking letting him out.

The other guy, Stephen Barker, as well as serving time for Baby P, is serving a sentence for raping a 2 year old girl.

Oh, I don't know. The things you see at the Jeremy Kyle section of society have to be seen to be believed.

I don't know. Feel fairly sick at the thoughts of her being free. Her boy murdered and she gets 5 years for allowing it to happen. 5 little years. And yes I do believe it would be good if she could be sterilised. She should never have a chance of being a 'mother' again the sick b!tch.
