The Seanad vote was lost through Enda's arrogance and refusal to debate his own proposal.
I completely agree, most of the people I know who voted no did so because Enda couldn't be bothered to engage in any form of debate.

He used to describe himself as a historian, but he is just another political campaigner. I think he has lost his integrity as an independent observer.!

I thought Indo/Sindo were boycotting Vinny. Beaker won't be happy with them.

I wanted the YES vote to prevail but i despise any victory going to Micheal Martin, while i would assume the yes margin would have been much higher had FF been on the No side, i hate their smugness

Lucinda is delighted that The Seanad will continue. It ensures a dual income into her household.

I'm still amazed that the Seanad debacle is still being used as a smokescreen for the Budget imo....

I'd say Enda & Co. are over the moon that.

    Why.

She is a barrister and her husband is a wealthy farmer, if they both were turfed out of the Oireachtas they'd survive.

So just accept it?.......We know we are being fleeced in the next two budgets but "get over it?".............
