    What's this about mars bars?

You keep using what happened a year ago as to some form of current events.

Sons of Struth, the RST,... are all working to help rid us of the people currently in charge, with the aim of getting it done at the AGM.

Now, we could all of course resort to staying away or throwing Mars bars like certain other clubs, but I'd rather not.

Is that the AGM of the club or the company? I'm a bit confused here.

I see that your game against Dunfermline has been called off because of 'players away on International duty'.

What's the bets the real reason the home game has been called off is that it minimises protests ahead of the AGM given that your next home game isn't until 11th November?

Ah I see a disgruntled Celtic fan threw a mars bar at the former Celtic board in 1994.

Better than throwing money at them in all fairness

Lol sometimes I wonder if people actually believe the nonsense they say! it's been postponed because four of our strongest 11 are on international duty, like we had every right to request the postponement and not it's not because of any protests that may or may not happen.

Rangers fans in their scores think the same as I do. Your message boards are full of people who are embarrassed by McCoist getting this game called off.

We had every right to call the game off and it's the right decision McCoist has made

Of course he's entitled to postpone it if there is a provision for it but it doesnt say much for the squad and the amount being spent on it. Motivation for Dunfermline by doing so.

Whatever my thoughts on Rangers, it sickens me to see the likes of Green come into a club in trouble, promise the sun, moon and stars, and walk away with a nice pay packet, leaving the club in as bad, if not worse shape. It's wrong, and shouldn't be allowed happen.

Agree but it was quite funny to watch the rangers fans stick their heads in the sand as usual and ignore what was happening in front of their very eyes. I cant imagine any other support doing the same. Their cap tipping, forelock tugging deference to authority has been their undoing.

btw i see no one has still pointed out what exactly was sectarian about that farce at Ibrox,

I seriously doubt the board are worried about any protests, their fans have continually failed to organise to any serious degree and show no signs of doing so/ he board can rest easy.

What exactly do you think they can do at the AGM? The resolution to vote for new board members was made too late. Its not on the agenda for the AGM.

I read that mc Coist has taken a wage cut from his wage of €825k:eek: FFS you have to laugh, what a farce of a club

According to him, it wasnt anything to do with the accounts. If you believe that, you'll believe anything.

We had to pay him that last season under the TUPE rules. But agreed its way over the top

    According to the current board.

The option will definitely be there to keep or replace members of the current board.

edit: And the 4 requisitioners (Malcolm Murray, Paul Murray, Scott Murdoch and Alex Wilson) have also gone to the court to have their names added to the vote.

Yes the employer can't insist on a wage cut but the employee can agree to one if they like.

Mc Coist kept saying knowone asked him to take a wage cut but he would consider one if asked, safe in the knowledge it was his decision to make - very snakey wording in hindsight, looks like something a lawyer would advise you to say.

I taught he claimed to be a die hard rangers man, taking the club and the fans (who pumped in 20million of their own cash/savings/pensions for shares which are likely to end up worthless next year) for a ride.

You may be right in that he could have asked to take a cut I don't know enough about the in's and out's to disagree with you. But he did work for something like six months without any salary. So taking that into consideration and the fact he was in no position to have any hard facts in the finances until recently. So I won't hang him out to dry over it just yet.

    From today's Sun.

Rangers missed out on a share of a £600,000 pay-out from former TV company Setanta - because technically they don't exist anymore.

Clubs who were part of the SPL between 2009 and 2012 recieved payments this week as their final dividend for the company going into administration back in 2009 .

But Rangers got nothing because they were classed as a club which no longer exists after their liquidation in June 2012.

If true then surely The The Rangers will sue? I do note that the snippet is inaccurate as The Rangers haven't been liquidated yet. Still, this could get interesting and could be the start of the end of the same club different company tripe that exists nowhere but in this instance.

The same paper that had an article a few months ago with the headline 'Its official, Rangers are Scotland's most successful club'.

The money owed was owed to the company and would (or at least should) have gone to the creditors of the oldco and not to the club.

This doesn't change a thing, unfortunately for you.

One thing thats bugged me, if the players were registered to the company, as some were TUPED over from the old company to the new company. And the company held the SFA membership, as it was transferred over to the new company, then the "club" actually has no claim to any title, it would have been the company and its employees who won these titles?

    Or how does that work?

It works like this; they want to have it both ways, they want to have their cake and eat it and they want everyone else to agree with them. Unfortunately for them when they were liquidated they crossed a line, it doesn't matter how they try to dress it up.

What's the bets this doesn't end up in court?

Every single one of us knows what will happen if it does. The fairytale will be exposed for what it is.

You lot really are relentless, it's getting borderline unhealthy and pathetic.

    But no, 'we're not obsessed'.

    Grow the **** up.

Surely it's up for discussion that a club, which looks as if it's heading for another insolvency event, is refused money it is due (and desperately needs) as the company owing the money claims the club no longer exists?

I think BDO are still in the process of liquidating Rangers.

Yup, Rangers are in liquidation, but have not been liquidated. This saga has a LONG way to run yet.

Something I never understood about the whole old club - new club thing, who actually owns Ibrox? Surely if Rangers were being liquidated it would have been sold to pay off the creditors?

Or is it owned by one of these weird lease agreement things?
