Well lads. I've unfortunately gone ahead and taking an 8 point hit just one week after playing my Wildcard. How is this team looking?

    Mignolet

Coleman - Walker - Vidic (Turner, Chester)

    Ozil - Brady - Ramsey - Eriksen

    Giroud - Rooney (c) - Suarez

    1.5m in the bank

I don't see a problem with that midfield for this week. Have you used a transfer yet?

I wouldn't worry about benching Whittingham & Morrison.

Yep, I'm all tranferred out. Also can't decide the best order for Whitt and R, Morrison on bench, this could be important due to uncertainty over Rooney and/or Sturridge being rested at the weekend.

Well that's a solid looking team. A bit Arsenal heavy maybe but if that doesn't work out this week your free transfer can sort it out.

I'm actually thinking Ramsey -> Mirallas once Ramsey cools off. I think Mirallas is going to have a big season, he's been unlucky to only have an assist to his name so far.

I'm not too worried being Arsenal heavy for this little run of games but I know it's something that has to be addressed.

    Cheers!

I'd appreciate your thoughts on this...

I have no option but to play 4-3-3 this week realistically or I'll have to leave high priced backs and forwards on the bench.

My head is melted as I think any of these three could perform well this GW.

    Thanks in advance.

I've set my team up as a 433 team too, and am comfortable with that strategy for now.
It means leaving two good cheap mid options on bench which i'm comfortable with. Will be weeks when they score high and you pick the wrong one, but go with form/ fixture cheap player and should balance out for season.
Also, be weeks like last week when RVP didnt play, so likes of Brady can come of the bench with big numbers.
Second guessing lack of patience and last minute changes for captain have killed the best FF teams and rarely come off.

ive got a headache for selection this weekend:

    ramsey michu moses mirallas eriksen

    giroud rooney sturridge

who should i bench? leaning towards eriksen. i think chelsea vs tottenham will be a fairly low scoring game

Just did the wildcard, as injuries and price drops forced my hand.. Walcott, RVP, Benteke, Hazard, Coleman (sold him for Terry as I had 3 Everton and no Chelsea coverage and I made .3 on him so not too bad) all had to go...

    New team:

    Boruc
    Zab Terry Ferdinand
    Ozil Brady Ramsey Michu
    Rooney(c) Suarez Lukaku

    Subs:
    Mignolet
    Barkley
    Turner(Cardiff)
    Shaw

I am pretty happy with this, I have a strong 12 players, 2 decent keepers that can rotate, and 2 bench warmers... On the 2 cheap defenders, should I go with 2 x 4Mil instead of 1 4Mil + 1 4.7Mil? That 0.7Mil could come in very handy in later weeks when one of Barkley/Ramsey/Lukaku have to be shipped out... Also looking at Wilson for 4.5Mil which would leave a cagey 0.2 Mil in bank... I am very happy with the rest of the team... I find it is balanced with good representation of top teams, with the exception of Spurs...

    All thoughts appreciated...

Think Newcastle will turn Everton over

What does their price matter? You shouldn't just bench players because they're cheaper.

right lads need a hand with my team
    McGregor
    Kos Nastasic Coleman and Ferdinand
    Ben Arfa Eriksen and Ozil
    Suarez Giroud and Rooney

subs are Barkley, Arnautovic and chester

does anyone think i should maybe get barkley in starting in that line up? or even Arnautovic who looks quite decent

I'd take out Kos. Yellow card machine and Swansea away is a tough game for Arsenal.

Think Newcastle will turn Everton over

I've been looking at Mirallas in this week but it's not possible unless I take a 12 point hit as opposed to the 4 I will take :pac:

I certainly wouldn't drop him and I wouldn't expect Newcastle to turn Everton over at Goodison either!

Ok. Here's my team for this week. Thoughts?

    Szczesny
    Fonte, Terry, Coleman, Ferdinand
    Brady, Toure, Oscar, Arfa
    Sturridge, Van Persie

    Bench: McGregor, Gunnarsson, Campbell, Koscielny

I've got one transfer to make and nothing in the bank. Any thoughts on who I should bring in?

I was thinking of swapping Van Persie for Giroud.

Balls, with Silva out I have a dilemma. Do I go 5 at the back again or take a chance on Ward-Prowse and/or a supposedly injured Agbonlahor picking up some points? Do I take the 4 point hit to get another midfielder in? Have 0.6 in the bank and with Silva at 9.2, could get Yaya os Oscar in and bank more money. Other alternative is Sidwell or Kasami in this week (I think Fulham will beat cardiff easily) bank a few million and work on a new forward for gabby next week.

    Team right now:

    Mignolet
    Collins, Mert, Dawson, Zab, Coleman
Mirallas, Ozil, Moses (Ward-Prowse, Silva inj)
    Giroud, Soldado (Agbonlahor)

Looks Like RVP will get some game time the weekend
Moyes said: "Robin will be back involved somewhere. Whether we use him, whether we don't, he has trained today.
"He is back fit and we will see exactly where he is."

Aguero it seems wont play any part against Villa
Pellegrini said: "Aguero finished the last derby in the last play with a small pain, I think it was nothing important but I think it was a risk for him to play three games in the same week. "We will leave him for next Wednesday but he will be absolutely fine."

And is Mourinho finally leaning towards starting Mata in the league
Mourinho said: "I liked the way Juan Mata played against Swindon. His attitude is very good and his effort was good.
"When a player makes an effort to come in my direction then I go to him as well. I can imagine from now him working into my way of thinking and I think the natural tendency will for him to be in the team."

    or

    Ozil and Brady?

I think Brady will have a possible hernia operation, most likely in a couple of weeks. And on the other hand Ramsey has a little knock and I heard some murmurings of bib theory and that he won't start.

I would myself (and I have them) go for Ozil and Brady

    Anyone??

Your team is fine i wouldnt change it. Maybe Ferdinand is the only id say??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,075 ✭✭✭tom_k

    Anyone??

I think that team looks good. Maybe change subs order to play Shaw in the event of a Zab or Ferdinand rotation but its up to yourself.

I'd also keep Shaw above Wilson. I think he'll be worth more than that 0.2 difference in the long run.

So what is the goalkeeper choice this week - once again I have to choose between Boruc and Mignolet, and I never did it right this year. Boruc at home against Crystal Palace, and Mignolet (who is in great form) away against Swansea. What's your pick this week?

Mignolet is away against Sunderland... I have these two keepers and have opted for Boruc, but I too have got this call wrong a few times this year.. But Boruc at home to a poor Palace side looks fairly solid..

im picking mig over mcgregor at home to west ham

It is Sunderland, my bad (Arsenal away to Swansea this week). Still not an easy decision to make, but looking at Mignolet performance last week I am worried that he will outscore Boruc again...50/50 at this moment.

Here's my team at the moment:

    Boruc
    Nastasic, Shaw, Kos, Yanga Mbiwa
    Ozil, Yaya,, Eriksen
    Giroud, Sturridge, Rooney

    Subs: Myhill, Hughes, Redmond

Have a bout 1 mil in bank. Next few weeks mainly want to upgrade mh fringe players like Canas, Hughes and Redmond. Any thoughts? Strikers too pricey?

Hoping someone can help me get out of a rut. Last two weeks have been a disaster, certain players have just disappointed and not sure who to get rid of and who to keep. I think I need to take a point hit or two.
