You do not need the Aston CAM.

Try the phantom patch softcam specific to 6900 Super+. Flash your box with that firmware. You might want to back up your channel list NDF before you do that.

The softcam emulates the use of a CAM module. Just put your card in the card reader when you have done that and it should work fine. CCAM reads these cards fine also.

stupid question.......is the card the right way up in the cam? I think in a cam its chip side up, in the card reader, chip side down?

Thanks for the info. my box has Phantom patch 753p later than the one you linked to but you are quite right the card details can be read from the slot but still the channels don't clear.

The problem seems to be that the card isn't activated as the subscription dates are way past but I don't seem to be getting the update signal. Satsklep tried twice and on third occasion said they've raised it with tech support.

The reason I bought the CAM was to avoid missing the update signals, as I didn't know if the softcam would update the card. Now I'm still having trouble you can't win sometimes. Gonna leave the card in the CAM and the receiver on 10892H and CANAL+ as instructed. Hopefully it will update overnight.

Yes, i activated one in a TM 5300 last week, the software has to be up to date.

TVP1 came on first, nothing else, had Rafal on Skype said he would ask technical support, Canal+ and the others came on about an hour later.

The cam has to be one of Satskleps seca, the old Aston cam is no good.

Thanks Nowso, I inquired about The History Channel Europe and they got back to me saying I could add the channel for €11 for 18 months. The only thing I am worried about is satsklep refer to the channel as "History" in their emails, I'm hoping we are talking about the same channel?

check the transponder its on

ask them is there other channels that can be added
maybe they could email u a list
as im sure theres a few channels others might be interested in adding

I've made some progress thanks to STB.

I patched the TM6900 back to 749p as per his link and put the card in the receivers own slot. Immediately the basic package channels became available so the card has had one update signal at least

but the CANAL + channels are still scrambled. Obviously Phantom patch 753p doesn't let any EMM updates through now thats a bit of an issue so I'll report that back.

Hopefully the Canal+ channel update will be OK with this patch if I give it some time. If not may have to try other patches.

Now I know which patch lets the update in I'll speak to Raphal Again on Monday about the Canal+ channels.

BTW the Aston cam was from Satsklep I ordered it with the card. Looks like I probably dont need it now anyway but I'll probably find a use for it somewhere.

whats the minimum outlay for the EPL on Canal+?

and how do I know if I need a cam?

In addition is there any way to confirm whether your existing signal strength is sufficient to view the premium channels to justify the outlay

a 80cm plus dish pointed at 13 east

and a ferguson arriva box needs no cam

and your away

hd channels need stronger but with it ained at 13 east right u should be fine

I have the dish set up on hotbird 13 and i have scanned in a few of the pay Tv channels on Canal + just to see what their signal strength is. was wondering what channels would be a good bench mark to scan in to give an idea of the canal+ signal strength.

thats the one that needs the fine tuning the sport hd is on 11,278

had a look on lyngsat 11278 will give me sport and canal hd need 11411 for family and family 2 hd which show a few matches. Although the SD versions are all on 10719 and 10892.

In spending time fine tuning 11411 could you lose the others?

First try skewing the LNB to the right looking at the dish. The HD Channels are a very good way of tuning 13E in general.

He is using an Triax offset bracket on a Triax Dish. If the skew does not work, turn the triax bracket upside down so that the centre hole is on the bottom rung giving you more tilt downwards for 13E.

Hi again.

A quick update. My Canal + channels are now working, I had to contact Rafal again this morning who cleared the card info. and resent everything. Within 10 minutes all channels became available.

Despite a bit of a false start Satsklep and Rafal in particular resolved the problems. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a NC+ card they all speak good English and are very helpful. Good prices too which is always a bonus.:)
