I play games but not enough.
Would love to play more but a) don't have time b) only have one TV in the house.

Not these days - only games on the tablet with my 5 year-old son: Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Subway Surfer etc

Have an X-Box 360 but haven't played it for a year or two.

Also used to play retro games like Doom and Duke Nukem (wads with upgrade packs) sometimes on the laptop but haven't for a long time.

Used to but gradually just became too busy. Even by about 22 the only games I would have an interest in would have been FIFA and the GTA main and spin off games, compared to in the days of the Super Nes when I would play any game I could get.

For me the main addiction of Vice City and GTA3 was the storyline, it is an actual film, you keep playing because you want to see where the plot goes next. I spent most of a washout summer around maybe 2003 sat in playing GTA for about 14 hours a day, the unfolding storyline was just too addictive to put down.

I have always wanted to but not got around to playing San Andreas so I guess that point is when my life became too busy for them! The thought of sitting playing the likes of world of warcraft bores the tits off me.

Im 33 and still play when I have the time. People that look down on it frequently spend all night in front of the TV which is lazier. There is research that video games improve problem solving, reaction time and even eyesight.

We had a pong clone console in the late 70s and early 80s and I was a frequent game player from then up to about three years ago.
With GTA V in the shops I reckon I will invest in it and indulge myself for a while.
    Great escapism all together.

I'm, er, old but that's not what stops me from playing. I just don't find them that interesting. I think the last time I played an arcade game was in Kashiwa earlier this year and before that a Wii game with my niece, about 2 or 3 years ago.

I still have my DUEL DANS LE GALAXIE from ENTEX, mind :D

I have a ps3 and some games but don't play as much as I'd like to. Suppose responsibilities got a hold of me.

I love my nintendo ds, it's old now. I have it for about 6 years but it's still going good. I love it because it's small and portable and easier to play a game. Like in bed before going to sleep.

Used to play a lot more in the past - mostly FPS's like CS and UT. Nowadays I play casual games on my phone/tablet plus the odd retro classic on the xbox or PC -old RPGs and things like that. I went through a major Castlevania phase a few months ago :o

I'd play 360 games more except my 360 died a few months ago and I haven't bothered to replace it. Still knock a good bit of fun out of my DS and PSP too.

Haven't played any since I was about 16. Work, real life and the internet slowly took over.

I am 21, I used to play some until I was 16, they don't interest me anymore.

I sometimes play online games, mostly simple things like this, but it's been years since I've bought a game. I think the last game I bought and spend ages playing was Tetris DX on the Nintendo Gameboy Advance about fourteen years ago. I would play it all night and once scored something like three million points. I still have the Nintendo and some games somewhere. I started playing it again a few months ago. I got addicted to it for a couple of weeks then just forgot about it.

I used to be a serious gamer but I sort of grew out if it during college because I didn't have anywhere to play. I got my DS (which I think might be my favourite console of all time), which kept me going, but I skipped the PS3/Xbox 360 generation.

I recently got into PC gaming and today I hooked up my PS2 and finished Kingdom Hearts 2, which has been unfinished for years. Next project: finish FF VIII.

I used to play a bit, not a lot, but occasionally. It petered out after a while.

However now I have a laptop that can run games, and USB controller I can plug into it so I can play to my heart's content without hogging the television :D I still only play a couple of hours a night.

And for anyone who thinks they're 'too old' for gaming when they're in their 20s, I'm a 30-odd year old woman, and I'm only getting started.

46 ahmmm! Still play computer games

Mainly MW3 on the Wii, I know Wiii haters will berate me but it can be fun unless I am getting hammered which happens a lot!!!
Only play death match online, never play the single player, just bought the game to play online.

Used to play Age of Mythology on the PC every Christmas would treat myself to 7/8 hours of game time coz it was so engrossing but then I lost the game settings and lost days/ weeks of my data revert back to first stage - cant be bothered to start all over again.

32 and do, been a gamer since the 80's, always will be too. No such thing as "too old", games are mostly aimed at adults now anyway, it's a bigger industry than movies or music these days.

If "computer games" didn't have the word "games" in the name then I don't think there'd be any suggestion that someone should be too old for them.

I'm 34 and I play on my PS3 a fair bit. Not as much as I used to and I probably don't enjoy them as much as I used to but I think that's more down to being burnt out of the same stuff rather than being too old. If a little gem like Journey comes along then I'm all over something like that.

I did take the day off yesterday to play GTA V though :)

Yup, 32 next week and still love me video games. Just got a PS3 and Vita to tide me over a couple months back (so many free games!) while my WiiU gathers dust till WWHD is out on the 4th.

Sound like kids are time suckers ;p

I haven't played computer games since a marathon game of Football Manager '09. I made it to 2074 and spent over 70 days real time playing it. Good times.

I mean I still play an occasional game of FIFA or Madden but I haven't really got into a game since the halcyon days of my 65 year managerial career.

Use to play them alot as a teenager, went to college and played computer games surprisingly less. Pretty much missed out completely on the last generation of console games. Have recently started playing starcraft 2 and I'm pretty addicted to it at the moment. It has sort of rekindled my desire to play games more I must say.

    36. Gamer all my life. I have to say I don't play as much since I started running but still enjoy an original game.

I still play games, just not as much as I used to. I've always had a console, since the Commodore 64. Once upon a time I would have bought monthly magazines about the PS1, then the 360 when it came out.

But now, I'm almost 30, with 2 kids and my own business, so if I get any time for games it's in 10 or 20 minute bursts, so a game of FIFA or MW3 has to suffice. Haven't really immersed myself in a game since Gears of War 1, which is a shame. I would like to get GTA V though to try and buck the trend. :o

    30. I've all but given up on console gaming but pc gaming is still going strong with me and always will.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,461 ✭✭✭--Kaiser--

Not much, they just don't interest me the same way they did as a kid/teenager. Though I'm pretty good at Street Fighter IV and I recently spent about 4 hours driving round the Nurburgring on Forza 3 with a mate of mine

obsessed with candy crush on my phone at the moment. Keep putting the date forward on my phone to get more lives... think i'm on the 1st of November now but its messing up my reminders and text messages :o

    I really need a life:D

51 and no I don't. When I was the age where most people get in to these things, they were only available in arcades. My kids have loads of abandoned consoles around the house but I never felt the need to pick one up

Almost 30. (Christ, i'm not looking forward to the actually 30 time.)

    Have a PS2, a 360, and a PC. Gaming library, numbers into the 100's.

I don't play as much as I used to, but every now and then something hooks me, and I spend whatever free hours I can on it.

Most of my free time is now spent staring at Boards/Reddit, and wishing I had something to do, rather than actually loading something up.

In fact, I'm going to log off Boards now, and go put in some time.

Used to have a sponsorship to play World of Warcraft about two years back, and then stopped playing it over a year ago as I just got bored.

I've been playing games since I was about 5 years old an an old Amstrad CPC from, from PC gaming to console gaming.

I only really PC game these days now, mainly due to a lack of actual TV, but I prefer it.

I'm 29 now, and view gaming as a simple alternative to that of TV or reading. Some games actually have incredibly good stories and are well acted.

Spend my time working with them now rather than playing - and when I do get playing a good one, it quickly becomes a hazard to my ability to keep up with work, so I don't tend to play much anymore.

I must get back to finishing Skyrim sometime. Bonus video of my favourite glitch:

Yup, still am - and for age, do some quick maths on my username.

Have been a gamer since the sega megadrive, playstation 2 into Xbox 360 and now locked in a philosophical battle in my mind about whether to keep that as well as buy 'The One'.

Someone earlier mentioned a point I agree with. I don't watch shyte on tv, I play online with mates instead.
