There's no such thing as being too old to play videogames. It's just another form of entertainment.

It's like saying 'I'm too old to watch films' or 'I'm too young to read a book'

    25, yes I play a lot.

I don't tend to play games on my own anymore. It's usually with the lads having a game of fifa or tiger woods. That's about the extent of our gaming repertoire these days. (26yrs)

29, used to play a lot but after quitting a life-sucking World of Warcraft habit about 5 years ago I just never really got back into games.

I much prefer to play outdoor games, hopscotch and skipping and the like.

I used to collect CVG magazine back in the day, I also went on the hop from school to collect my pre-order Dreamcast when it was released. I managed to log a fair bit of time in MW1 and 2 there a couple of years ago. These days, if I have the time, I like to play a game or two - I squeezed in about 20mins of BF3 last weekend, I'm absolutely rubbish. 95% of the time now the xbox gets used for watching sky and streaming media. I'm 30. It's nothing to do with getting old, it's just that other aspects of life kinda take priority.

34 - Do not play many really. There has been a spate of Episodic games recently from people like Tell Tale Games which I play. The new Monkey Islands - Sam'n'Max and so forth. But they are rare and you play through them in 6 to 8 hours. So I guess I play games about 8 hours every couple of months or more :)

If I did go for games I would be more the story driven game type. I would happily invest time - where I able to find it - in your Bioware style games like Mass Effect.

Investing time into building - management - or ongoing games - Sim Citys - Football Manager games - War or Age of Empire games - has simply never interested me.

All in all though - simply do not have the time for games these days. Do not even own a Television as no time for that either.

What's with the "Too old to play video games" ?

Entertainment is entertainment - doesn't matter what the medium is.

That's like saying you don't enjoy football because you're too old and can't physically play it no more...

Anyways, on topic - Yes, yes I do... very much so! Been playing since the days of the Atari 2600, and plan to for the rest of my years into a ripe old age.

I'm 19. The only games I play are sonic and ssx3 once every month or so.

27: I don't play that often, but the people that roll their eyes when they call to a persons house and see a xbox under the telly are ignorantly identifying that person as an outdated nerd stereotype.

Its no longer a case of throwing money into a machine at a loud arcade, it have evolved into global market where you can compete or unite with anyone across the globe at golf, soccer, racing, strategy, shooting etc... The games are now high definition with many employing credited actors to star in and writers to work on decent plotlines.

The biggest entertainment industry in the world should not have an age limit.

Nope. I just don't have the time or the patience or the spatial awareness. Mostly the time though.

Only had the ps1 ..so would play games on that, then got a pc..and played age of empires and games like that. Then I found Championship Manager/Football Manager but didnt buy any versions after 2007 because it was just getting to time consuming. I currently have Championship Manager 2001/2002, which I play on the odd occasion.

Played FIFA on a daily basis in the heady days of secondary school. Alas I am now 24 and I'm only on the PS3 about once a week now, if even...but that will soon change when I get my mits on FIFA 14!

Scrabble on the bog, otherwise it's all a bit futile.
Don't want to look back on years of game playing on your death bed.

I'm 33 and play games, only bought a new PS3 last week for Skyrim and GTA V. I also play a lot of simulator games on the PC, it requires quite a lot of thought and experiment to get things working they want I want them. An example would be Kerbal Space Program.

Not since the days of Street Fighter II. I'd rather read a book these days.

Late 30's and been playing games since we got a Spectrum 48 back in the day.

Have kids now, so time available to play is considerably reduced. I do get to play a lot of Plants vs Zombies with my 4 year old though.

I downloaded (or at least started to download) GTAV last night and am looking forward to giving it a spin tonight, but I don't think I'll have the free time to really get into it.

I'm 34 and I don't have a console and I can't remember the last time I played a computer game. The last time was probably the Wii in someones house or computer trivial or something of the sort.

In fact about 5 years ago when I opened an account in a new bank they
gave me the PSP as a gift. I had it at home for months without even opening it
and then gave it to a friend for nothing.

    I'm 25 and yes.
I play my Xbox every couple of nights and every day I play a bit of Minecraft on my tablet. I love games. A nice way to escape reality.

not any more, passed the gene onto the sprog though and there came a day when there was no console in my home that I could call my own. I play tetris with my shopping while the conveyor belt is moving while my daughter hums the tune to the dismay of the cashier if that counts.

Jaysis, it's been a long time. I used to love them when I was a youngfella in the '80s - the old 8-bit home-micro stuff, tape loading an' all! Progressed to the SNES in the '90s, and then just kind of lost interest at some point. I'd say I haven't played computer games in about twelve years. :)

I'm 23 and I do, though don't have the time to play as much as I like. Not mad on online games, prefer storyline based ones.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
