car has electrioncs let it up and down

what ever height it suits the driver

    It also has excellent wording.

    So adjustable suspension, then?

So someone who's selling a car has imperfect English. Whoop-de-fuckin-doo.

A lot of people don't have English as a first language, might be dyslexic, or might not have gotten the same opportunities as others education wise.

I thought it was amusing. I wasn't intentionally being a dick. Chill.

The Corolla is better built and is far more popular than the lancer hence the price difference.

Yet those lancers are still very good cars with superb reliability. On a value for money basis they are hard to beat.:)
I hired a Station wagon one of them recently with a 2.4 tiptronic.
Went quite well but comfort wasn't the greatest.

We should specify 6 months tax and test as a minimum. I wouldn't class it as bangernomics otherwise.

I would be more inclined to say 6 months NCT and 3 months tax, or at least be able to pay for the car + 3 months tax for less than 2K

Tbh Imo tax shouldn't be factor for bangernomics, instead it should be viewed as a bonus. Price, condition and a long nct are the main factors for bangernomics imo

I think specifing valid tax is probably going to eliminate a great number of cars from these pages. Many people hold on to their cars till the tax is out and then sell, so it'd probably be getting too specific to add it to the criteria unless you go with something like Dr.Rieux's suggestion that you should be able to tax it for 3 months for a total under 2k or something.

I'd say alright to 3 months tax but I'd have to have at least that. The point of bangernomics is to buy a car and spend nothing but insurance and petrol on it. If you have to go and buy the tax yourself it doesn't fit.

And yeah, a load of the cars posted would be disqualified and I'd be glad for it too, I get sick of seeing cars with a few weeks tax and 1 months NCT in this thread. It's not bangernomics.

If you're buying something with a long test for €500 is it really that big of a deal to have to put some tax on it yourself?

Tax is straightforward, but I'd share your dislike of only a months test on a car - you can never be sure what will happen if you have to test a car, so buying something with a very short test can be a serious gamble.

It seems to be for sale in Sligo too. Bit iffy.
