Where does that stack in in comparison to other yrs? I made the grand total of 16 bales this yr, most of which were fed back. Last yr it was about 150!

Did third cut on a couple of fields friday morning baled sat evening 85 bales nice quality grass closed off the start of august after second cut. Lucky to have it done nice and dry given the rain yesterday morning and again today. Should have enough for a normal winter now. Last year saw all reserves used up it was 1st year for a while that the yard was empty for the 1st cut pit. Was discussing with the old fellow we reckon its the first time ever we took a third cut off a field on the farm.

Late night there lad, I'd say the neighbours weren't impressed with the noise

we finished last night around 11, finished the 1st cut in june about 2am and have often finshed the silage very late (one year we kept going till 5am and just got finshed when the heveans opened. baled silage is quite in comparison to self propelled and it was a cold evening so most people had the windows closed. that said i probably be more likely to get complants come weaning time
