5 strong defenders (GK inc.) - Toure is a risk, but at 5.0 he seems a worthwhile risk.. If he doesn't play, Coleman comes on, so I won't fall behind everyone else either way

2 big hitters with a potential assist or two from Chadli - Want Nani eventually but not yet

Front 3 - Sturridge might make his way in eventually, but not this week

0.3 in the bank - Could be 0.4 tomorrow if Ibe drops to 4.3 I'll buy him instead of Morrisson.. Don't even plan on playing my fifth mid so I'll just buy the cheapest one going..

Can save another 0.1 by getting Hazard over Silva

So.. have close to 0.5 of wiggle room.. Any suggestions? Thinking upgrade Toure to Sakho

Wanted to gamble on Erikson.. :/

Silva's out tomorrow. Wondering who to replace him with myself.

I still wouldn't trust that defence, you could find yourself with three of them on the bench any given week.
How have you come around to Chadli now? Stick with Eriksen, Silva is way overpriced IMO.
Still looks like a team with Van Persie to me, can't see where the money has gone! It's obviously on defence

Sitting on this at the moment, though it doesn't quite feel complete. Any thoughts? I need to fix the midfield probably.

    ^^^^^

I think you should move Dawson out and Townsend too

Even if you switch Townsend for Gunnarsson/Barkley, saves you .5 to use else where

Really think Dawson is one of the bargains of the season. 5m for a Spurs defender and they've only conceded one goal in all comps this season. The amount of quality DMs along with Lloris means they should be good value for clean sheets all season.

Posted this in another thread but got no replies :o Hopefully get more joy here:

    On WC:

    Mignolet (Marshall)

    Mertesacker, Vidic, Walker, Fonte, Collins

    Walcott, Lampard, Miralles, Hernandez, Brady

    Giroud, Soldado, Benteke (or Sturridge)

Plan to play Mignolet most weeks. I think Marshall matches up better than Boruc for the 'tough' games.

Going to play 4-3-3 with Fonte/Collins rotating home and away.

    All opinions appreciated!

It is one area I have no 'cover'. Silva is out this week and I think Negredo and Dzeko will split time. Without Kompany the defence isn't as strong and the fixtures aren't great in the immediate future, compared to some other teams.

If Negredo was nailed on he'd be a consideration as will Zab or Kompany when fixtures improve.

Good team. Very strong def and nice wh/sou combo. Mert is out tomorrow though so maybe switch to kos. No Utd attackers is the only worry but you cant cover all the bases.

Dropped Terry.. Mourinho is so fecking unpredicatable with his lineups I just couldn't invest 6.0 in a Chelsea defender.. Cech and probably Cole are the only nailed on men in their back line

    Now my decision is -

    Mig (5.7) and Dawson (5.0) = 10.7

    or

    Lloris (6.0) and Kolo Toure (5.0) = 11.0

I'm leaning more towards option two

    Thinking of wildcarding into this:
Have 0.6 to bring in Ozil(doubt for this weekend) for Walcott.
Will mainly play 4-3-3 but can switch to 3-4-3 if needed.

    Any thoughts?

a quick draft, putting in van p. I prob wont keep him but what are your thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,912 ✭✭✭kilburn

You really need to strenghten your defence as this will get you the most points this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,094 ✭✭✭SpaceCowb0y

Unless someone can suggest otherwise this will be it... Yaya for Walcott maybe??

Agonised over RVP for ages - But I feel like this is spread out better and that midfielders will start to pick up points soon.

    zb8y.jpg

Couple of risks with Nani/Ozil for this week but have solid enough subs IMO :o

    Advice appreciated:
Played Wild Card and this is the team at present :
    Mig / Boruc
    Terry / Coleman / Zabaleta / Vidic / Chester
    Walcott / Nani / Oscar / Brady / Ward-Prowse
    Sturridge / Soldado / Giroud

    .4 left in the bank.
Too weak in midfield? Any where i can improve?
    Cheers......

You reckon Swansea will keep a clean sheet against Liverpool? If Sturridge is out who's gonna score for em like?

And Southampton clean sheet against West Ham?

Right folks this is what I'm thinking of going for at this moment in time. As I type I think I might swap Studge for Benteke or keep Soldado though. Michu will be 8.9 tomorrow which will leave me .5 to play with or break even with Soldado. Dawson is a risk but can get rid if he's dropped. In midfield I can dip in for whatever 3 of the cheapies I prefer or even go 5 at the back. Michu and Walcott have goals in them and so do Brady and Redmond. So what say ye?

I've played my Wildcard and would appreciate advice on this team. Thanks.

I will be playing 4-3-3 from now on with the possibility of 5-2-3 or 3-4-3 if necessary.
The main risk is Christian Eriksen who I see playing behind Soldado in the No. 10 position for Spurs.

The main weaknesses I can see is the lack of a third quality midfielder but based on the BPS system I think strengthing the defence was more important.
Also the lack of City coverage but will look to bring in Negredo after the Manchester derby (probably for Benteke).

If you do get that 0.5, Walcott to Ozil?
Or do you plan on using it elsewhere?

No I'd prefer Walcott. My hope would be Ozil assisting Giroud and Walcott for goals on the whole. I think I'll go with Soldado this week so solves my problem but could use it to swap Dawson to another defender in a week or two or he gets dropped.

    Mig
    Coleman-Rio-Terry-Nasasic
    ----Yaya-Lampard-Walcott--
    --Sturridge-Benteke-Giroud--

    Boruc-Brady-WardProse-Whittaker

    F'wat ye think?

anyone able to tell me when I should use my wild card? Like in what situation would i use it? Sorry, i'm new to all this fantasy football stuff.
If anyone could tell me what players I should look at for my team, I'd be grateful. currently:
    Cech/Mignolet
    Zabaleta/Whittaker/Ivanovic/lowton/Enrique
    Walcott/jarvis/wanyama/toure/hernandez
    welbeck/soldado/wolfswinkel
    team value: 99.8
    bank:1.5

    thanks.

Lad you have two expensive keepers which is your first issue. Keep one and get a cheap one for the bench.

Strikeforce isnt good enough either IMO.

You have Ivanovic as Chelsea cover so Cech >>>>>> 4/4.5m keeper and then upgrade Wolf to one of the top strikers.
