Kagawa hasn't even been on the bench in recent matches. You're nearly better off with Giggs at 5.5m at the moment.

Moyes explained already that neither Kagawa or Nani were match fit so he had a choice of putting one of the two on the bench. He chose Nani as he felt he may need him later in the game, and indeed he did.

Have played my wildcard, what do ye think of the following?

    Mignolet
    Rio, Fonte, Coleman
    Ozil Hazard Silva redmond
    Giroud RVP Bent

    Ward Prowse, Chester, Gabiddon

Decided to wildcard, anyone willing to give their opinion or any improvements on my team ?

    Lloris McGregor
    Coleman Baines Zabaleta Walker Whittaker
Ozil Hernandez Ben Arfa Barkley Redmond
    Sturridge Benteke Giroud

Think it's a big gamble doubling up on spurs and Everton players at the back!

Could easily swap out two and pick from Chelsea, united and Liverpool defence.

I've the same front three so hopefully that is good ; )

    Coleman and Baines?
    Lloris and Walker?

If either team don't keep a clean sheet you've lost out on serious points.

As the previous lads have said the doubling up on Spurs and Everton at the back is crazy, firstly Marinez's teams have never been able to defend and Everton will conceded more than in previous years, Fellani is also a loss in this department he did a good job protecting the back four, and with regard to Spurs, if you rememer Villa-Boas at Chelsea and from the second half of last season with Spurs he plays an incredibly high line at the back which IMO with their centre backs will lead to very few clean sheets, any team with pace will kill them.

No United or Chelsea cover as well is not a good idea and you will need Liverpool defensive cover IMO, Mingolet seems the best bet for this atm.

Wild Card played. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.

So i've cut Boruc. Always have bad luck swapping keepers so going to keep Mignolet in goal with a backup who won't play for 4 million.

Strengthened my backline going on how the BPS is playing out so Ferdinand comes in.

Coutinho and Paulinho dropped from midfield. 2 pricy considering their fantasy output thus far even though their real life performances have been good.

Ozil in because he is a beast! Midfield is quite cheap but think i'll go with 3 in the middle most weeks

    Mignolet
    Coleman--Ivanovic--Ferdinand--Zabaleta
    Ozil--Lampard--Brady---Nolan--
    RVP
    Giroud

    Davis--Ward Prowse--Luna--Chamakh

Good team Id cange ferdinand to vidic. Ferdinand struggles to play games in quick succession and with him probably going to play some CL games over the next couple of months Id expect him to miss a few league games.

3 Spurs players is too much. Cut Soldado and go for Giroud maybe.

Its a very risky team. Lamela, Ozil (though i think he is the business) and Negredo (who wont play every week) are very much unknown quantities in terms of fantasy. It could be genius or backfire. I generally pick my team with a bit of caution

Don't think Coutinho is worth 9 million either. Liverpool have been playing well but still scoring just 3 a week

if things go against you you could struggle to field a team next week. Wilson, negredo, dawson in no way guaranteed to start. Lukaku cant play. Then will lamela and ozil go straight into the team( more than likely but a slight risk). I personally think you have taken 3 risks too many there.

Dezko was subbed at half-time in City's home game against Hull, which I interpreted as Pelligrini as saying 'you've had your chance Edin'. Could be wrong but in 2 games when Negredo came on he's scored and did so again for Spain last night.

Lamela is a risk but he played for 16 mins against Arsenal despite not even knowing his own team mates, which tells me AVB will play him from the start next time out, shelled out too much bunce on him not to.

might get Agger in at the back and downgrade Coutinho/Lamela to Ben Arfa or somebody else.

    Thanks for reply.

Just one point, Ivanovic isn't picking up bonus points in the BPS like the other 3 at the back. He got some against Villa because he scored but otherwise he's not doing enough ordinarily.

Would his greater scoring threat compensate for this?

It's a much of a muchness. He might never score another all season or he could score 10 but if Chelsea keep a clean sheet in a very low-scoring victory or draw 0-0 then the the CBs and even Cole thus far are almost guaranteed to pick up a BP or 2. For me Ivanovic is too costly at 6.5 for a defender not performing under the BPS.

    Jaas
    Collins Zabelata Coleman
    Barkley Walcot Ward-Prouse Hazard
    Benteke Giroud RVP

    Bench:
    Mannone
    Whittaker
    Kasami
    Rosenior

I'm keeping my transfer this week and then transferring RVP out the next week to strengthen my mid. Any ideas?

transferring RVP out right before United's fixture list eases up could backfire.

I'm just wondering what people think of my team. I have no money free. Thinking on nani is he has signed a 5 year deal and will probably get the nod ahead of young

    Boruc
    Whittaker | Ivanovic | Sakho
Eriksen | Ozil | Ben Arfa | Nani | Hernandez (SWA)
    Giroud | Van P

Subs: Chamakh | Chambers | Chester | Stockdale

Maybe downgrade a midfielder for another marquee defender as thats where you will pick up bonus points. Newcastle are muck at the minute so that would put me off Ben Arfa

I'd be inclined to see if Nani starts a game before rushing out buying him.

If you're going for an Arsenal defender, I'd go for Mertesacker instead. Kos is a magnet for cards

On the wildcard at the moment. Any advice or suggestions to do change this team for the better?

    Thoughts?

I'm divided on who to put in goal this week. Obviously Mignolet is doing great so far but they're away to Swansea this week, so they're quite likely to concede. McGregor on the other hand is at home to Cardiff. Probably slightly less likely to concede. If someone wants to give me their 2c on the situation.

Defence speaks for itself. More than likely going to bring in Rafael instead of Vidic once he returns from injury. Ended up going for Kosc over Mert, mainly because he 0.1 cheaper but also seems more of an attack threat. Playing Chambers this week as there is no way Everton are keeping a clean sheet so Coleman gets benched.

Wallcott and Silva are the obvious midfield choices. Chadli is someone I have gambled on so far this season and I'm waiting on him to pay off still other than getting ~3 points per game. I want Nani in there eventually but probably best to wait and see if he plays next week, even though I am fairly sure he will. Other option over Chadli would be Nolan who is playing away to Southampton this week. Southampton only managed one clean sheet so far this season, and if anyone is going to score from WH it's more than likely going to be Nolan. Could be worth it to save 0.2 as well, but then if Chadli does well this week I'll be sad.. :(

Bentekkers, Giroud and Soldado - Giroud is being supplied some world class service from all sides now with Cazorla, Ozil, and Walcott.. I don't like him much as a player but you can't deny that he is certainly going to be a contender for highest scorer this season. Bentekkers is a beast and he's up against Newcastle this week so should be hopefully be good for at least one goal. Soldado.. Disappointing so far but at home to Norwich this week should see him bag one or two ;)

Any thoughts, feedback, complaints, suggestions, ramblings or whatever is on your mind, please share :D

Anyone wanna weigh in on this team idea?

    Mignolet
    --Coleman--Vidic--Wisdom--Zabaleta-
    Ozil--Walcott--Lamela

    Lukaku--Sturridge--Giroud

    Boruc--Ward Prowse--Williams--Barkley

    Too many Arsenal to prosper every week? But a) form and b) Sun(A), Stoke(H), Swa(A), WBA(A), Nor(H), Cry(A)
Same idea Lamela - new to the PL so risky but could potentially fly with Spurs' coming fixtures.
I'll trade one Wisdom for a -10 week Johnson
And Williams comes in (4.9 man!) for post GW6 for a Collins with a tough fixture set next six GWs.

WC team is close to completion- decided on the VP and strong defense route

    Mignolet
    Zabaleta Vidic Ivanovic Coleman
    Silva Ramsay Hernandez
    sturidge Giroud
    RVP

    Subs: Boruc, brady, barkley, chester,

    Gk- two solid options
Def: can see 2/3 being top points scoring defenders easily enough
Midfield is a bit weak I know, haven't decided on Silva or Walcott but least silva gives me some city coverage.
Two decent bench players to rotate with my midfield and with RVP up top captain choice is boxed off?
need to make another .2 in rises to afford this team:(

Really like that team... I want it :)

Fair enough, Midfield is weak(ish)... But Silva (or Walcott) is strong and Hernandez has potential to be a nice points getter.
And if you're going 3 in midfield then it's less of an issue. You've real strength elsewhere.
I'm not a fan of Ramseys prospects of scoring well points wise over the season... I think that is the only issue I'd have.

Don't like my team as much now :)

Which defender to start this weekend?

Collins (away to Southampton) OR Coleman (home to Chelsea)?

I can see Collins keeping a clean sheet more than I can see Coleman scoring/assisting against Chelsea.
Also hard to see Coleman keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea.
