Hi guys got our Vax. I assembled and put on the pad and it's working fine but what's the grey plastic triangle piece for? Where does it go? Quick start guide doesn't mention it

It's for doing the carpet cleaning

It is for cleaning carpets. I think you just place it on the carpet to be cleaned and sit your Vax into it.

    Thanks Conductor / OP,

Was in hardly normal's today with wife and kids, and she asked about a steam mop... eagerly told her about this thread and how they were all gone now:P

Thanks to thread update I have just reserved one for her to pick up in Dundrum tomorrow.:D

Wonder what's really behind it from Argos point of view, there's absolutely no way they haven't noticed that amount of stock shifting, not complaining, just curious as they have to be knowingly offloading the stock with an incorrect model and description at this stage.

Reserved one in Waterford store, hopefully it will indeed be the vax that I will be picking up. Thanks OP

Picked up one in Liffey valley today, thanks OP.
The girl handing it out didn't seem surprised at all. Just double checked the item code.

    Its from http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/.
They are fully aware of this - it isn't a glitch. I was told by someone fairly high up in Argos that the substitution is a deliberate one by Steamworks because they do not have any of their own model so have done a deal with Vax to supply these instead. Vax readily agreed because it is shifting a vast amount of their overstocks - and causes an ongoing surge in sales of the 'consumables'.....and hasnt it worked well!

Retail is cynical and honestly doesn't ever do anything unless it suits them. Had it been just a glitch it would have been fixed long ago!

Theres a separate Bargain Alerts thread on it.
Its not the same one though- its the S2, not the S87
No idea what the difference between the two are.

    Hi guys,

Just a question regarding the mop - when you plug it in it heats up automatically or do you have to keep the trigger pulled to heat it up?

    Cheers,
    Mick
