    Thoughts?

Probably going to play 4-3-3 most weeks If I got with this team. Ive my wildcard played so have plenty of room to mess around with It. So anyone have any suggestions?

Nice team. Liverpool have an excellent run of fixtures so i feel u are missing out in not investing in their defence in particular. Especially considering Migs is owned by over a third of managers so some clean sheets there will leave u playing catch up unnecessarily. I hope Moses comes good as id love a mid at that price to do the business!

Its annoying, Im 0.1 off being able to bring in Mignolet and a 4.0 goalie. I do prefer having two starting gks I can rotate though. Ive had Toure but I feel with the Sakho signing Im not sure If he will start anymore.

0.1 thats horrible :( Sakho cost 15m their most expensive signing of the summer so certainly Migs is easily the best way into their defence now.
I could suggest Lampard instead of hazard? or if u look at the fixtures west hams takes a turn for the worse soon, maybe downgrade Collins to chester of hull? 4.0 def with good home fixtures for at least next 3 home games and kept a cleanie at home to norwich with 10men? looked decent away to city too. As your 5th choice defender as u have 4 premium defenders already. Not ideal but just some suggestions to wreck your head even more :)
Or southampton also have good home fixtures if u feel clyne will regain his first team place after preseason injuries, he is 4.4 and would find u that extra .1

I wont be actually picking my team until next week really anyway. Just trying to increase Its value at the moment. Andros Townsend instead of Moses was another way of saving money I was thinking of aswell. Downgrading Collins is an option alright. West Ham are very solid at the back though.

difficult at this point to see how victor moses will work out, and he's more of a sniper than a prolific scorer, so i think the only 2 real options for liverpool attack are sturridge or suarez.

i agree with whoever suggested lampard. considering the 'haphazard' squad selection tactics of mourinho up front and with mata/oscar i think lampard will be the only real steady stream of goals for the near future. hazard isnt a bad choice but you really cant go wrong with lampard if he stays healthy and keeps his nailed starter status.

also though i agree that more astute investment in the back is necessary this year, that doesn't necessarily mean you can't go with defenders from some of the lower-tier teams like cardiff and west ham. cardiff are already showing signs of playing strong at home, so i think investing in a defender like turner and rotating with another team is just as favorable an option as playing one single expensive defender week in and week out. with regards to that i would possibly downgrade one of ferdinand, coleman, or koscielny (perhaps ferdinand or koscielny since they have no attacking benefits.) might i suggest a souton player to rotate with collins?

with lampard and a downgrade of 1 of yr defenders (which still leaves you the choice of playing 3 expensive defenders or a 4th cheap home rotation defender) you could upgrade weimann to a better forward, of which there are too many options to choose for you to have a player like him in your front line, honestly.

Thoughts on the following? Need to play wildcard after the first few weeks have me 50(!) points behind already.

Trying to capitalise on the Ozil move by bringing in both him and Giroud.

I tend to play 3 at the back but thinking with the new point allocation it may be wise to play 4?

Thank's for that, I hate signing up for anything unnecessary. I'll probably just carry on as I was.
One more question, the last image I linked was my first with gyazo, if I was to do that again would ye be able to see all my previous screen grabs? Not that I'll be doing anything unwholesome or anything:o:(

    Hah ;)

    Nice enough team overall.

Mirallas isn't performing, which I'm pleased about as I dropped him the day before the season started in favour of Chadli. He hasn't exactly performed either but has outscored Mirallas at least.

I have no faith in Micky Turner. None whatsoever. Mr. P won't be happy about that!

You have Ivanovic as third option on your bench, why?

I'd imagine he's there as he had no game in gw3.

Turner did alright for me at the weekend, he'll be on my bench for most of the year but if he keeps his place in the Norwich team he's as good as anything for the price, I said it before I'd hate to be on the outside looking in when he gets his 15 pointer:P.

I'm happy enough with Mirallas as a fantasy player, he's been unlucky not to score yet, he's only had 3 games, Everton will be a better team with the newbies they've brought in, if Mirallas continues to play he'll be in the vicinity of scoring chances quite often, he's staying for the moment.
Paulinho might get another couple of games for me, Norwich at home in the next game will show quite a lot about him. Soldado will stay for a while, he's a proven scorer and could have had a penalty last week, he'll gel and score at least 20 goals this year IMO.
Want only to get rid of Dzeko and YaYa soon, and see about Kolo. Huddlestone won't be on my team too often but I fancy him to outscore most in his price bracket.

Jenkinson only played because Sagna was ill.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,097 ✭✭✭shadowcomplex

Opinions of this (played my wildcard)

    Mignolet
    Harper

    Coleman
    Zabaleta
Dawson or Toure(which should I choose)

    Lampard
    Paulinho
    Walcott
    Michu
    Brady

    Giroud
    Benteke
    soldado

I probably should get in sturrage for one of my forwards but who if any should I sacrifice?

Oh right, I wasn't aware he was ill. Does that mean he should walk into the FB position so?
In goes Dawson and Whitrose for Jenkison and Brady

Sagna is clear first choice for the RB slot when all are available at Arsenal. Not even remotely close.
Sagna is 4th choice centre back so another injury there for the Gunners will open up the rb slot for Jenkinson.

well i've only gone and done it - WC activated and settled on the following come hell or high water.

    Mignolet
    Coleman--Ivanovic--Dawson--
    Ozil--Coutinho--Kagawa---Hernadaez--
    ----Negredo--Soldado--Giroud

    Lewis--Wilson--Turner (Cardiff)--Morrison

If at any stage Lamela seems to be tearing it up he's in and Coutinho's out. Kagawa is bound to get game time sooner or later, it's incomprehensible he's left out.
