By all means have an opinion that you don't agree with such and such, but I think the reason 'the people who were criticising' got up other peoples noses is because of the manner of the criticism, the wording used, farcical this, pathetic that, such and such is a clown etc etc.

Everyone on the board wanted new signings in July, we all want the same thing at the end of the day but there is a way to express your opinion.

    +1.

    Any guesses?

    Ozil, Fellaini and Herrera perhaps

According to MEN, it was 4 players this morning.
I give it till 3 o clock, down to 2.
6 o clock. Down to one.

    11pm, no one comes in.

So Bale was unveiled at Madrid and Kaka has gone back to Milan.

I would imagine the will off load at least one more player.

I think it would have but for the hiccup Everton seem to be having signing McCarthy with a bid turned down late last night.

Yeah that's what I think myself, which worries me as Wigan could delay that right down to the wire.

What's the latest on transfers now? Who are Utd most likely to sign, if any? If things were to happen, wouldn't we have heard something by now?

Have you not read the last ten posts or so before yours?

@DaveHytner: Ozil. Arsenal. £46m. Get excited.

That would be a stupid plan if they actually want the money, because I would imagine Everton will pull out of the deal if they are not selling Fellaini.

Criminal that we're not in for Özil‎.

so Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world are reliant on the transfer of an Irish international playing for Wigan to seal what could be our biggest transfer of the year.

    you couldnt make it up.

Dave Whelan has said it, so it must be true.
Roberto is chasing James. If Everton sell Fellaini, they are going to come in again for our boy.

It depends whether Fellaini goes today. I have heard that he's definitely going.

If Fellaini goes, Everton are going to get their £30million or whatever. Roberto knows what James is valued at, so they've got to come back in with the right amount. You've got to be talking £14million or maybe a little more.

to be honest, even if Fellani comes in, its still going to be a really disappointing summer that promised alot.

not sure how i feel about Herrara at all, it will take €60million to get them both in....its a bit much and its very poor that the club has been reduced to this.

Totally agree. Even with those signings, United will not have any world class midfielders/wingers. Simply not good enough for a club with aspirations like United's.

i think it would be huge even if there not quite the standard of players we would like its us actually improving the middle of the pitch going from shocking to average at cm is better than going from good or great to slightly better in another part of the pitch

Well im not sure what to think. This is a man who put a 39 year old in his starting team against Liverpool at anfield.

Was it a lot better when fergie played him or when he brought scholes off his rocking chair and would not give pogba a chance, give him time to weed out what he does not like,

They've said they won't stand in his way but they're not going to let him go on the cheap. It's quite possible they will stand firm and Everton will pull out.

The fact that Fellaini is our main target is bad enough.

Love the drama of it all, for all we know all the deals are already done and dusted and wont be released until later today :)

    One can but dream.............

You think starting giggs yesterday was a good management decision??

    Are people blind or what?

    Is that what I said?

I'm referring to the #moyesout idiots who are too spoiled over the years to realise that the man is going to have to be given a lot of time and plenty of chances to do the job, instant success was always very unlikely. What Fergie achieved will never be equaled and therefore our expectations must be lowered. How many times have United fans laughed at other clubs fans for wanting a manager out after a short time in the job. The club stuck with Fergie and hopefully they will stick with Moyes.

well there is nothing done yet and that is pretty clear. if they were done, they would have been announced by now.

    what we know is -

we look like we will sign Fellani.
we may put in another, late bid for Herrera.

thats all that is happening right now unless for example some agent comes to United and offers us a player or we get wind of another deal and hijack it.

Moyes wants a marquee signing, Ozil would be that. The fact Utd have turned him down surely means there's a big transfer happening? I believe. :)

Which United fans, as you said, have said Moyes out?

Would have been better to spend €60m on Cesc. But we don't know if that would have got him or not, but my feeling is we would have if we got Barca to bite.

If everything goes to plan given United have not given up on Herrera...

    De Gea
    Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Evra
    --Carrick--Herrera--Fellaini--
    -Kagawa--RVP--Rooney

    or

    De Gea
    Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Evra
    --Carrick--Herrera--Fellaini--
    Kagawa
    ----Rooney--RVP

    Need two midfielders today.

It doesnt need 'time' to see that YOU DO NOT START A 39 YEAR OLD AGAINST LIVERPOOL AT ANFIELD.

BBC reporting a fee is agreed, though no confirmation that the player will go there.
    David Ornstein, BBC Sport
    OZIL TO ARSENAL
"Arsenal have agreed a 50m euros deal with Real Madrid to sign Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil.

"The 24-year-old has agreed personal terms and will now undergo a medical.

"The medical will take place in Germany, where Ozil is on international duty."
