Nay...... Doesn't cut it for me!

What other styles you looked at?

Ah theyre a nice wheel. Just came across a newly refurbished set at a good price with tyres. So I'm tempted. Had been looking at BBS CH.

No denying that they aren't but I don't know myself, I'd have something a bit more unusual....

18" M3 wheels, yay or nay? Staggered too...

Put the cost price, towards funds for an actual m3? :pac:

What's your view on rs4 alloys on a 1.9 tdi felt spec audi?

    Quick Q..
The N.C.T is up on the Yaris and I'm just wondering have the N.C.T stopped sending out the notice/date for the next test or is it only from the 2nd N.C.T onward of ownership that they post out a letter/date?

18" M3 wheels, yay or nay? Staggered too...

The M3 alloys aren't too bad imo, But if I were you Alan, I be lookin' for somthing like this..

    Everyone is different though...

They sometimes don't post out notice.
Best bet, ring and ask for their next available booking.

I'm not saying it is. Just asking what's your thoughts when you see an Audi a4 with rs4 alloys on it?

Personally I'd upgrade brakes, suspension etc before I put m3 wheels on it. It'd be like me putting 166 wheels on my 156. And put money I'd spend on wheels towards a 166.

    However your car, your decision.
    Just my opinion.

If you go for it I might be happy to cut a deal on your old ones

What a silly argument. The whole thing of the felt specs is the fact theyre badged as RS4's, not because they have RS4 wheels.

Even if they're not badged as rs4s I'm not mad on them. Don't see the point in making a car look like something it isn't.

    My own Personal opinion however.
To me if you want to make it look like an m3 off you go. Ill know anyway when I look in my rear mirror. :pac:

Its not making a car look like something it isnt, its making a car look better.

Again in my opinion it doesn't.
Just like in your opinion it does.

You could use that argument on any car if you put alloys that were not standard for that model on it.

As long as you're not pretending it's something it's not then it's alright in my book. Just my opinion.

Tbh I love keeping cars standard but that's just me. Having said that I'd love to improve the look of mine a bit. I feel its going nowhere for a while. While I may change some bits I'll keep the originals

You're driving a car that has loads of oem options. 17 inch seven spokes would really help it a lot. Led angel eyes, second hand msport interior, mfsw is easy and cheap and you could do a full msport conversion.

Yes, I'm leaning this way myself these days, q car/ sleeper etc.... Must raise the arse of the 406 soon, should look like a proper sleeper then!

I'm in the position where I've modified it enough not to call it standard. So sure, why not. Its got some ****e shoes on her now!

I've never understood people that don't want to modify their cars.

You wouldn't buy a house and live in it the exact way it's last owners did? Or buy a brand new one and leave everything exactly how the builders left it?

Car designers have to take it easy, find a middle ground between extravagance and what will appeal to the masses, if you're happy being mediocre that's fine but for the love of god, don't try to make anyone else feel they should be able to better their own property and make it how they want it.

And hey Scorto, did Alfa originally put that big stainless steal system on the 2.5 or are you trying to make it look like a 3.2 GTA? ;)
Just fuxking with ya but do you see what I mean?

The interior is sorted from standard with brushed al and a mfsw it does need better seats though and alloys even if Alan says they're shyte lol

Have you thought about brakes Alan?

I have considered removing it and putting it back to oem actually.
May happen eventually if a good one comes available.
I wouldn't call it big either.

For me, unless it's something seriously rare that's never had any restortion but has just been kept clean using only OEM parts for the last 50+ years, I'm still all for improvement.

I'm not gonna add another wing to the Taj Mahal but I will rewire it and fit it with modern comforts. ;)

There's so much on fleabay. You'd sort out the seats easily and cheaply.

Well you would only be downgrading and as it's a part that no one else will see (and something that's done on many classics) I can't really see the point but it's your car. :)
