Dublin 4, up around Vincent's Hospital you will see loads, there is a nice wall to sit on outside the Japanese embassy and you will see loads.

Stroll out the southside, if the cars where not all hidden behind gates fox rock would be a great spot.

But around the embassies in D4 you'll have a good few on display.

Do what you want, it's not my car :D

My car was over on the rollers for a health check and a tweak map today, we had a fiddle with the cam timing (adjustable cam pulleys) and we found quite a bit of horsepower, kudos to Joe Power

The hell is that?? Did you crash the almera?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,728 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Yep, went off at about 12:15 and I'm just in bed now.
The car is pretty rough but myself and my passenger are 100%.

I wasn't even driving it on, I was coming down a slippery slope, brakes locked up before a bend and I went up a bank and into a fence.

Engine's still running, but the front axle and the body work are all ****ed.

Most important is there are no injured parties anyway, lucky as we stopped about 1.5 feet from a tree. That would have been a different story. :|

Not sure really, I have the MX-5 there anyway but my mate offered me his Saxo for €600 which might be a better move right now. I want the belt on the Mazda done before I drive it.

Offer 400, you'l be grand, you're probably better waiting with the mazda alright, just use the saxo as an a to b car

The Saxo is pretty fast and slammed on its ass, not sure if I want to go that fast right now. :p

I'm having a proper look at the Almera tomorrow to see what needs to be done and I'll think about it then.
I would like the dog space the MX-5 doesn't offer.

Well get a off roading lift kit and you'l be fine!:pac:

Ah yeah I remember that was an issue alright :/

Haha, yeah. That'd look the part.
Thinking the Saxo might be the best bet for now, I'll have a think tomorrow anyway.

Of to sleep for now, up for work tomorrow. Night.

Yeouch, not a nice experience :(

Glad to hear you and your passenger are alright :)

I could have a look at the car later if you like? Last day up here in Dublin, can tip out that direction and have a looksee after 6 (yeah, I do crash repairs too) :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,978 ✭✭✭✭dgt

Oh and as for Saxo's, nice handling car as standard :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,728 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Well I'm off work at 9 and have to get a bus home so I'm not expecting to be home until 10 at the earliest, thanks for the offer though. :p

Yeah, coming around to the idea of that.
    Easy to park too. :pac:

Good to hear you're both ok, I had a crash as well two years ago while I was learning, still paying for it now though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,295 ✭✭✭Supergurrier

If ure ever stuck for a parking space in galway cian the focus has a fine big boot :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,728 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Well thankfully other than my car and 3 meters of fence I didn't destroy much, so other than the owner of the fence chasing me for repairs this shouldn't cost me toooo much.

The focus is alright but I might hold out for an Octavia. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,295 ✭✭✭Supergurrier

    Counted change in centre console.

    5 million euros...

When we gave the bmw is first clean after the previous owners (2 kids etc) we counted €21 under the mats and seats.
We got a Chinese on the head of them, great night :)

I cleaned out my new banger, found a Nokia 6230i and and iPhone cradle.

Still doesn't beat the girl from Enterprise handing me a box of Durex's finest a few years ago when I was handing back a car, they weren't even mine :(
