its 185 if you prepay and 205 if you turn up on the day.
also for an extra drive its 40 quid.

for a half day on the bank holiday, its 125 if pre booked and 145 on the day.
An extra driver for a half day would be 30.

Ok, so @ 125 v 185 it would be a waste imo to not do the full day

I'm not interested in the extra driver, no one else would be driving olga. Barely let myself drive her :P

Add in the extra tyre wear, brake wear, and ideally brake fluid and oil changes after a full day on track, and that price difference could escalate quite a bit.

    And pad wear.
How does Gary survive on the track. Jesus it's bloody expensive.

Pads, discs and fluids would be toast after a full day I would imagine. I'll probably do a half day. Anyone know what times the half runs from and to?

    I think it's until lunchtime.

I need an excuse to put on ds2500s, but my pads are too new at the moment.
A bit of burning on the track may make me change my mind.

If you're not on the limit your brakes and tyres etc will be fine. If you dog the car you'll pay for the pleasure.

I'd be interested in doing a track day, though probably half a day.
Is there a date in mind?

Unless we can get 40 people who'll definitely be there (which has as much chance as the national debt getting wiped) then it'll be a bank holiday Monday.
The next one of which is October.

Can just 1 guy go to it? Like if I ring up to book just myself, is that acceptable or do normally groups book together?

As said we're never gonna get 40 to go as a group so I reckon people are better off booking individually for the open track day.

Should start a separate thread on it though. ;)

    Deadly buzz
Ill do that a little closer to the time.

I'll expect 2 e60 530d's to be chomping at my heels :P (Or choking in my dust/soot)

We wouldn't get 40 for a meet. So we can just get as many as we can to go to a normal day.
Maybe I should have held on to the TT for a few more months :)

A 2007 Golf GT TDI, does such a thing exist or are they all felt specced homemade cars?

There was in the UK, think it was 170bhp although the GT might also have been trim level. Subsequently GTD designation for higher powered diesels.

They used GT as a spec/style. There were 1.4 petrol with GT on them.

I think there is also a GTD spec but I don't think it was as old as a 2007.

It could be a 170 bhp one??

I was told of a GTI spec TDI which is for sale that is a 2007 model and is one of 4 registered that year. Details are very patchy so not exactly sure what the seller actually has!

Could be a lovely baseline although the extras listed were pretty long.

    Could be a 170 though.

Could be that GTD spec so, the one I saw was a 170

Car check says 140bhp but owner says its incorrect as he has checked using the engine code.

One expensive way to cover your mileage there...

like i say, priced way too high for the low ball offers,

for his driving i dont think so much, if its b roads and motorways you get around the 37mpg mark and in comfort !
