Thinking of pulling a wildcard, got 41 from 9 today, 73 last week. First time playing FF so not sure what's a good start, obviously a marathon not a sprint but want to get in before any price changes. My midfield is fairly expensive.

If you can, hold off on wildcarding til after the international break(in case of injuries) at the very least wait til transfer window closes.
For the moment keep an eye on Lukakus' price(he's 80% or 90% on the way to another drop).

Another option is to drop Krul to a 4m keeper - gives you an extra 1m, but no keeper coverage.

With the way the BPS seem to be going this year, you may want to consider downgrading your midfield to upgrade your defence.

Definitely going to downgrade my keepers, maybe keepers. Was thinking going to a combination which would save me £1.5m but don't know if I fancy having a keeper and defender from the same club together, once one loses the clean sheet so does the other.

Keep an eye on Daniels at West Brom. Foster could be gone for a while.

    Migolet

    Shaw Zabaleta Coleman

    Miraleas Wallcot Coutihno Snodgrass

    Rvp dzeko Lambert

0.8 in the bank and one free transfer thinking of getting rid of Coutihno dunno what to do change in midfield or up front......

    Any ideas anyone?

    What do ye think lads?

Problem is that I have Anelka + 2 Chelsea. Want to go Hazard >> Silva....would Anelka drop much more by next week until I possibly wildcard?(how long is a piece of string)

I have 2m in the bank, 100.4m squad value.

    Or wildcard this week?

Boas Myhill should be back in training on Monday . Don't think Foster injury is too bad anyway .

I wouldn't even dream of wild carding with that team. You would basically be using your wildcard to get rid of Anelka.

Take a hit? Anelka + 1 Chelsea player out perhaps?

Its annoying me looking at Anelka on the subs bench tbh........the lad is in a bad place but we gotta win some points!........:pac::eek:

    I'm going to hell.

Looking at wildcarding after next week, and going all out on attack and defense at the expense of mf.

    Mig

    Zab vidic coleman ivan
    Lamps snodgrass nolan
    Benteke rvp sturridge

    Subs kasami morrison chester.

just wondering if people think this is a good/visit strategy?

Any thoughts on how I could improve the below wildcard team with the £1.1m in the bank please?

Mignolet will play every game unless he picks up an injury which we'd almost certainly know about in time, so I'm happy to go with a £4.0m keeper.

Chester is the best £4.0m defender IMO as he plays for a Hull side who should be solid enough at home and anyway, it's unlikely I'll have to use him as I'll be going with 4 at the back every week.

I'm mainly looking at improving the two midfield substitutes but I'm not too sure who to go with as I haven't done a lot of research into budget midfield options for the bench, or would I be better off upgrading some of my current players with the extra cash, for example Lescott to Zabaleta?

    Thanks. :)

How many points have u got at the min? Brady for hull 5 million. He will pick up a lot of points this year. I wouldn't use my wildcard till after next gameweek

I can't log in at the minute to check for sure but just over 100 I think. I had a below average week one and well above average week two. Aye, I won't be using the wildcard until after gameweek three.

Thanks for the suggestion on Brady, I've read he takes all their set pieces so he seems a nice option for that price.

I'm also going to go with Brady. He's now playing on the flank up front of a 4-3-3 for Hull according to FFS.

Will replace Joe Cole with him next week.

This week I'm going Coutinho to Walcott.

Id personally do mig to DDG and vidic to toure. It will save you .5 and I can see vidic getting the odd rest once the champs lge kicks in. Utd have smalling, jones, evans, rio, vidic for CB. This is assuming liverpool dont sign another CB.

Cheers mate. Good advice and something I wouldn't have considered.

I could also do Chester to James Collins with the £0.5m saved. I won't use him much, but what a great defensive option to have on the bench if needed, given how West Ham will keep a nice amount of clean sheets this year.

I'd still have enough left to upgrade Thomas to Brady as suggested by Lemlin and Dullahan too and Ward-Prowse to a £5.0m option such as Gunnarsson or Barkley.

Looking at it with the proposed changes below, I think that's an extremely strong squad and I'd still have £0.2m in the bank presuming points increases aren't too unkind. Bent at £6.5m is a real help in freeing up funds elsewhere and I'd be almost certain that he will completely outscore his price. I'm probably a real heavy hitter up front such as an Aguero light, but given how the bonus points seem to be favouring central defenders I'm happy with what I have:

    2e1194a5ebf0cfee89f5b9f90b7440e0.png

I suspect that's extremely close to what I will end up going with. The only sticking point is I dislike having such a strong bench (in Fantasy Football terms) as I will be kicking myself the odd week when one of the big guns does nothing and I have 10 + points from one of my subs wasted on the bench :pac:

Seeing as it's nearly "GW3 Wildcarding Fortnight Bonanza" time I've started looking at my set up and this is what I've come up with

    qrwwzr.jpg

Now above in Paully's team we can see the glorious defenders that can be chosen without RVP but I think what I have here is pretty good-looking itself. Vidic was in my thoughts before tonight but I think tonight has proven what he can achieve over the season. In my soul-destroying analysis of Saturday's matches I can't shake the thought of Lovren even though I brought in Shaw at a hit-this week. He seems like a magnet. Now that we know Collins is first choice he's a good choice. Coleman is Coleman and Mickey Turner is the life and soul of this rag tag team of merry men.

4-3-3 is formation of choice with the ability to go to 5 at the back and maybe 4 in midfield at times and front 6 should do well. Mirallas will have to start scoring, same with Walcott but overall it looks decent to me but we'll have another weekend to see the lie of the land in relation to BPS. It's also worth noting our Clean Sheet Quota could have been filled already this season :pac:

146 points but have played my wildcard this week as planned (struggled to force myself not to use it last week but it turned out ok)

4-5-1 or 5-4-1 being my preferences

    Keepers:
    Mignolet - K Davies
Am quite happy not to have a choice here. Have picked the wrong one enough times in the past when I've 2 options. I'll take the highs n lows with Mignloet for now anyway.

    Defence:
    Johnson - Colman - Zaba - Vidic - Toure
Not really happy with having 2 Pool defenders and keeper. Lovren might get in for Toure but I think Southampton will start to ship goals. Gibbs is on my mind a bit. I think Arsenal will come good and have a decent run, nicely leading into

    Midfielders:
    Theo - Santi - Silva - Nolan - Brady
Yip, I'm backing arsenal here too much than I'd like. I'll see how it goes, with an eye on what happens over in Chelsea over the next while. (Mata to United would be a dream)

    Forwards:
    Aguero - Chamakh - Campell
Just going with one big gun in Aguero. The other two might get the odd game based on form & opponents. I think they'll rise in price rapidly if the can bag a few goals here and there, I'd cash in on them if so.

Have a few bob in the bank, there may be further changes as the week gets older.

Do you have Santi in atm? Looks like he'll drop tomorrow, so I'd take him out for anyone until he drops and get him then (sidenote: I do think Theo AND Santi is overkill, but you're aware of this).

Also, I'm not really sure if only playing 1 forward is a great idea. There's a LOT of great options in the forward line, and they seem to be doing better in the bonus point department than the midfielders, at the minute. I'm struggling to 'only' pick 3 forwards.

Having an absolute nightmare this year. Can anyone give me a bit of help & suggestions with this. Hoping to get Sturridge in for Wolfswinkle too if I'm able. Going to be a struggle though I'd imagine.

I'm quite a big fan of that team. Personally though, I'd downgrade 1 defender and upgrade a midfielder.

    I agree with this.

Put in Chester for 4.0. Saves money and he will play for Hull and get some clean sheets.

I presume the idea's to play 5-2-3 most weeks. Formation of the week so it was. I'm toying with it myself now

If someone from the past (preferably 12 months) saw this, they'd think you were mad.

Obviously, it looks very shrewd in a good way now, though.

To the above poster, it's not too important but I'd have Chester in your side ahead of any of the other two 4.0 worth defenders. Hull have a better defence in my opinion.

Here's my first ever 'effort' at a fantasy team, thoughts?

    could get pic embedded.

    mig
    lovern, baines, toure, coleman
    snograss, coutinho, hernandez, silva, nolan
    soldado

    Harper, wilbraham, benteke, ivanovic

lack of knowledge meant that picked bad team week1 and then had to wildcard before week2.

    Cheers,

    Joxer
