You know its bad when your wife turns around to you and says "Jesus Christ - could it get any more boring?"

What a snooze-fest for an exciting track :(

Spa can do that sometimes especially if there is no rain. The 2007 race which had no rain was very poor IIRC.

This is going to be good :)

How very very wrong I was.

Personnally don't like Vettle but you have to hand it to him, as a racer he is a different class.

Borefest - dreadful race with only contrived overtaking

More excitement in one lap of moto 3 then 44 laps of Spa

Flawless drive from Vettel, took the lead on the fifth corner and never looked back. He had quite a considerable lead in the World Championships now.

Maybe next season there will be a competitive championship.

Bit racist there from Christian Horner with the leprechaun remark. Dock his team 100 points for racist slur, immediately.

Most people just want to see a close race for the championship.

Changed before the end of the F1 - and glad I left the first race on before flicking over to the start of the F1 coverage too.

The car is in a different class - I think hes at the same level as Alonso/Hamilton/Kimi - no more/no less

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,298 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Great drive from Alonso, mid grid to podium. Best chance, even if it is slim, to wrestle the champoinship from Vettel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,421 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

With a straight that was always useful for some good overtakes, DRS and Kers definitely take from it

If it was the car, Webber would be coming second with every Vettel win, he isn't.

Although he is popular Webber is old and has never been top class.

    whats going on?

Just for Vettel in general I assume.

Would not agree with that -the car is designed around Vettels driving style not Webbers - and how often does Webber suffer car issues (clutch today) .

I am guessing it is to do with the greenpeace people.

Every race nearly, they love fúcking him over, wouldn't be surprised if they did it just for the craic

Very poor form if that's the case. Respect where it's due, he won the race and leads the championship.

    protesters, eh?

And I thought the Corrib Gas Field was quiet because they all had headed to Croke Park. :D

Just sitting in the car park at spa. Not a great race to watch. Qualifying was more exciting. I was hoping for rain but it never came. I was sitting watching the race on the kemmel straight so got to see the effect of DRS first hand. I think it ruins the race as a spectacle. There was lots of overtaking right down through the field that you probably don't get to see on TV. The DRS makes it too easy to overtake and makes the racing very artificial.
