Soooo, if you were to go on a three week holiday just before GTA V is released, what do you do?

A. Bring your console with you, buy the game for €75 in said country and play it on release and risk the wrath of your OH.

B. Pre order it in Ireland and have it delivered to your house while you're away and basically just torture yourself by spending your holiday reading reviews and watching gameplay videos until you get home.

C. Ignore everything about it until you get back.

D. Cancel your holiday and break up with your OH and play GTA V on release and live in eternal blissfulness.

Real Answer: Combine B and C. Preorder it and have it waiting for you when you get back, but avoid reviews like the plague. There're surely other "activities" you could be doing...

E. Break your own leg so you don't have to go on holidays. You'll get lots of sympathy from the other half. You'll have weeks and weeks of gaming while getting your breakfast, lunch, and dinner made for you and brought to you.

You'll be grand if you live in Dublin and if you get your copy early (which is what I plan on doing) But try to get it at 9am/10am.

As the day goes on you have to figure stores will run out.

Radio Station stuff

Indie station called Vinewood Boulevard Radio and hosted by Nate and Steve. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube have voice cameos on WCC

WCTR is back. There is a station called Fly Low FM, and it will apparently creep some people out. Country station is called Rebel Radio. Fernando Martinez is back. Lazlow is on Chattersphere with someone named Michelle. Chattersphere is a show on WCTR.

Los Santos Rock Radio is the name of one of the stations. Pam Grier hosts Lowdown 91.1, the Funk/Soul station

That's a pretty good suggestion, apart from the breaking my leg part, I don't think I'd enjoy that bit. Too much pain and discomfort ya know, I suppose I could pretend to break my leg, best of both worlds

Yeah B and C seem to be the way to go but I doubt I'll be able to avoid reviews, I know I'll give in eventually because I'll be weak and desperate for my next GTA V information hit.

Just to buy off Gamesnash and wondering would standard shipping be ok for getting GTA on release day or would I need to go for the express post option. Getting it delivered to Cavan if it makes any difference.

If the internet is to be believed, if you don't pre-order and collect at midnight, you probably won't see a copy of it until 'Spring' 2014.

In reality, the chances of you not being able to pick up a copy in any nearby store to you is slim. I'm certain it'll be readily available.

That said, if you're a worrier, just pre-order it. Peace of mind and all that. Since my local Tesco are changing from a 24 hour store to a 'normal' store, I'm being forced into Gamestop or XtraVision to pick it up at midnight. Due to this I'm pre-ordering. Not because i think it will be hard to get, but for peace of mind and to (hopefully) make things go a little bit smoother when I show up.

I should point out that I'm not clued in to GTA stock levels or such, but I'm just basing this on my own past experience (have bought every GTA on release day from III. Every release was foreshadowed with warnings of low stock levels, you won't get a copy for weeks, etc.).

I loved Vice City's release. XtraVision had it on the shelf at about 7pm the night before it's release. We rang them asking was it out (for the laugh) and when they said "yeah it's on the shelf" I don't think I ever ran so fast in my life!

So I'll be ringing GameStop around the same time on the 16th. Fingers crossed and all that.

Best thing to do is to go into gamestop and put the deposit down to pre-order (5 euro),and then just pay the rest on the night/day.

I know it depends on if you live in a city or not, I go with standard delivery and always get it on release day.

I'd pay to get Tunein in the game. Never gonna happen though. It would bring about too many legal problems with artists having their music in the game and not being paid, wouldn't it?

Don't think so... I mean, Euro Truck Simulator (it's been a week since I've mentioned it on Boards, withdrawal symptoms :P) has an ingame radio that allows you to stream any radio station in the world, all you need is the link to their webstream.

However, I think it may be too complicated on consoles to bother with tbh, especially when they've no doubt put so much work into the ingame stations. They'll probably have a music player though that you can load .mp3s onto.
