Sorry! I didn't think it was obvious. I'm not too bright.

Yep that's what I thought too.

Surprising stat overall given this little fact about Villarreal in 2004-05:

Thought he'd be a monster for Liverpool for Penos.

Even stranger considering we won the fa cup in his first season with us thanks to his peno saves in the final!

Zaf yells "Abracadabra" cue puff of smoke and a kitten pasty and a pint on a tray dropping into Andys hands.

    Liverpool U21s (ripped from RAWK)

    Ward
    McLauglin-Kelly-Jones-McQuire
    Rossiter--Rodden
    Ibe
    Dunn
    Morgan
    Borini

Subs - Sokolik, Mersin, Brannagan, Peterson, Lussey.

I suspect Morgan is on the right....

Man United U21 XI : Amos, Vaarela, Thorpe, M.Keane, Vermijl, Cole, Ekangamene, Petrucci, Lingard, Januzaj, Henriquez

Suso's Almeria start their La Liga campaign tonight. Hopefully he will get a start - he has been playing on the left in preseason

Rodden playing makes me sad. I know Rossiter is very highly rated but a surprise to see his inclusion at this level above other options. Looking forward to watching him as while I've read loads, I've only got to see him a few times.

Trying to count how many Jagermeisters Carrol had pre-medical.

Playing Kelly makes sense as he won't be fit and needs games. As for Borini playing with the kids - well that's a shocker. It shows just how much he's slipping down the hierarchy.

Including a 16 year old speaks volumes as to how highly he's rated.

Looking forward to seeing Ibe, McLaughlin and Jones also.

    Agree.

Not a Fan of Rodden. I'd rather give the playing time to Baio.

Still waiting for Ince to make his senior debut for us after Macca confirmed that he had signed during the January transfer window.

To be fair to macca he was always fairly reliable with his info. The ince thing gets brought up far too often.

The unfunny answer is its a Neurological exam testing the cerebellum, which controls voluntary movement.

Basically testing for abnormal movements and inco-ordination. <----(The jokes will write themselves sometimes, perhaps Dr Zaf should have been given the p-45 for not finding anything :pac:)

When you look at Coady (who is twice the player Roddan is) struggling to make an impact at Sheffield United - you get an idea of just how far Roddan is from ever being good enough for us.

Teixeira was rumoured to be going on loan to Bologna a few days ago, so if he's not on the bench, maybe there's something to that.

Did Coady not play the full match for Sheffield at the weekend?

He did indeed. From what I have read on the forums about him, the consensus is that he's a decent footballer, but he has struggled to stamp his authority on games. The point is that if the superior Coady is unlikely to make it at Liverpool, then even having Roddan in the team at under-21 level is just a total waste.

Oh yeah I'd agree with that.

United team - Ben Amos; Varela, Thorpe, M Keane, Vermijl, Cole, Ekangamene, Petrucci, Lingard, Januzaj, Henriquez.

Hopeful of a draw, but it's going to be really tough to beat that team.

    He did.

From reading the Blades Forum, they thought they were getting the Stevie-G-All-Action-Midfielder, instead of a DM that can do a Role as CM.

The Problem is that, they are actually already loaded with CM/DM Types. What they need is a True Box-to-Box to help with their Attack.

They actually want him to Shoot from Distance, rather than letting Coady pass to a Teammate.

We are lacking in pace in the centre of defence, but I would argue that we are even more lacking in pace in the centre of midfield with none of our four CM options offering any real pace of note when it comes to combatting a team that likes to break at speed through the centre.

Couldn't agree with this more. I would love someone like Mascherano back. Pace can make so much of a difference in that position.
