The fact that Man City aren't playing until Monday, does that heighten the possibility of Silva starting? (considering Spains trip to Ecuador). I currently have him in.

    Anyone??

    And any update on Walcott?

Who would be a good replacement

At 4.5? I had Yakob from WBA on my watchlist. Check out these squad sheets http://www.theguardian.com/football/series/squad-sheets not guaranteed but better than my guesses! :pac:

In the end I found 0.5m and went for Sidwell at 5.0m.

    I've gone with:

    Lloris

    Ivanovic (V) / Jagielka / Mertesacker
    Paulinho / Fellaini / Mata (C) / Walcott
    Kone / Lukaku / Soldado

    Subs:
    Harper / Chester / Colback / Ward

Not many taking a punt with Fellaini, which surprised me. Easy enough two weeks and then there's still the possibility of a transfer to United. Worried about not having Benteke, too though.

Thats far from always feasible though and at the moment the only player worth having from UTD is RVP and his price tag is painfully high! I have been battling with myself whether 1 player scoring well most weeks is worth having 3 player who may only score 2 or 3 most weeks in my team to accommodate him is worth it, so far ive decided not to but that could change by the international break!

    evra (utd)

    mertscacker (ars)
    mignolet (pool)
    hAZARD (Chelsea)
    aquergo (city)
    paulino (spurs)

Walcott is fine and he'll definitely play, Wenger said this yesterday. Not sure about Silva.

Ha, I can never resist the early wildcard. Not a bad move really. You have a better idea of first choice players, what position people are playing in, etc.

I used mine after 2 gameweeks last season even though I was around the top 500!

As a Liverpool I hate to say they are lethal when it comes to FF. Too much of the scales every week weighs on what they might/or can do as opposed to what they will do. MU, MC and Chelsea that have that almost guaranteed level of performance where somethings are fairly bankable.

    Had Luna.

My only bragging right out of this week.

Obviously had Mignolet, Beneteke and Hazard (C), like a lot of people. But Luna surprised me, even.

82 points, reasonably happy. Picked Soldado over Benteke last minute which I'm regretting now but at least Soldado got the goal and BPs. Luakaku really stung me this week and I'd be looking to get rid of him I think. Any advice or recommendations? Should I transfer Luakaku out for a >€7.9m striker or Luakaka and one of my midfielders for a <€7.9m striker and downgrade one of my midfielders? Thanks :) 0.0 in the bank by the way.

    Thinking of wildcarding. Any thoughts?

Might be forced into an early Wildcard. Lugano/Rat are not starting for unknown reasons, and Arsenal are just annoying me. Walcott seems to be second fiddle to Giroud for the goalscoring, and not a single cleansheet from last seasons best defence.

    It's been 2 games.

Okay lads, just considering what way to go with my wildcard after gameweek three. So far, I've come up with the below, and would really appreciate any opinions you may have, as I do need a bit of help:

    78263f8e008732ed31b6d227f9dd43d0.png

So I'd be going with a 4-3-3 every week of:
    Mignolet

    Zabaleta Vidic Mertersacker Ivanovic

    Hazard Silva Walcott

    Bent Soldado Sturridge

    Subs: Ward-Prowse, Thomas, Chester

I like the thoughts of going with 4 top defenders given how these bonus points seem to be dished out. Clean sheets and a very good pass completion rate seem to equal bonus points for defenders. Even better if they can chip in at the attacking side of the field (Zabaleta and Ivanovic). My goalkeeper and back four play in teams that should all end up at the top end of the table for clean sheets come the end of the season.

Hazard, Silva and Walcott gives me attacking coverage from three of the top teams in the league and all three should end up with a high points total.

Soldado is non-negotiable for me, he has to be in. A great striker who is almost guaranteed 90 minutes every week in a team that creates chances. Bent is the best cheap option in the game and proved today what he can do, even in a brief cameo. Sturridge is off to a flyer, no fitness worries, and again he'll play every week. I'd probably prefer to have a real big hitter in here instead of Sturridge (Rooney/Suarez depending on the transfer window, or Aguero depending on playing time) but at least I won't be sweating come 2:00pm every Saturday wondering if my three strikers will play, and going with so many big hitters in defence and midfield, I really can't afford it.

Subs: Ward-Prowse has played 90 minutes for two weeks in a row and racked up a decent score. Thomas will be given an attacking role in the Palace team as soon as he returns from injury and may even drop in price by next week which would help me with funds. Hull are equipped to keep clean sheets relative to other teams down there in the table so at £4.0m Chester is the best lowest price defensive option, IMO.

I have been stung a bit over the first couple of weeks taking a chance on players who didn't start, so with the above team I didn't want that to be a problem and I think I've more or less succeeded. Bent is the riskiest but I do think he will be first choice by gameweek four.

I have £0.2m in the bank to cope with price changes between now and after gameweek three and if it has to be done I can transfer Ivanovic to Terry to free up another £0.5m.

So, what do you think of the above team and what would you do differently?

    Thanks all :)

Not sure about Merte, Arsenal don't look too great at the back. Coleman or Toure could be better options.

I think Lampard is a better option than Hazard as he takes free kicks and penalties.

Personally, I would downgrade Walcott or Silva and upgrade Bent.

    Current side......
    Cech Krul
    Coleman Zabaleta Shaw Ward Toure
    Walcott Hazard Mirralas Coutinho Barkley
    Lukaku Sturridge VanWolfswinkel

Thinking of pulling a wildcard, got 41 from 9 today, 73 last week. First time playing FF so not sure what's a good start, obviously a marathon not a sprint but want to get in before any price changes. My midfield is fairly expensive.
