Ozil might give Moyes a short term boost in achieving success at the club..

Ozil is only 24, he's just 5 months older than Kagawa and he's younger than Nani and Chicharito.

The long term issues I'm talking about aren't to do with Ozil himself, but rather the players that he would displace and the money he would use up in transfer fee and wages.

If Carrick is out today it will show why people happy with our summer are freaking insane. Our midfield isn't close to being good enough. Without Carrick we are worse off than most of the top 8 or so.

    Who's happy with our Summer?

    Who's happy with our Summer?
All the people who said me and homer were utterly wrong in our stance.

Ravel Morrison on the bench for West Ham today.

Are there that many people "happy" with our summer?

    Not manically depressed =/= Happy.

Do we not wait until the transfer window closes until we label the summer successful/unsuccessful?

It's a bit premature saying we've had a bad summer if there's still 16 days left and we could sign 3 or 4 players in that time

no, there is no excuse or reason to be starting the new season without signings, especially considering our start. i expect sinings to come in, but that does not excuse Woodward and the board for their lack of signings in the past 3 months.

everything now is a reaction rather than being proactive.

There doesn't have to be polar opposites. Am I happy? Not really. Am I angry? Not really.

Why? Coz there's **** all I can do about it.

Lets hope its a better start than last season.
If we did lose today though i can see Moyes under a lot more pressure to bring a few players in esp considering he got all of our mouths watered with name dropping Fabergas, but yet hasn't signed anyone. C'mon Moysey put a gun to Woodwards head.

That fella is the worst actor I have ever seen. Like, he is so fucking crap. Do you agree?

Yeah, he's not great alright. Could be better.

OMFG YOU LOVE HIM. WHY DON'T YOU GO FUCKING MARRY HIM IF YOU LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

    /thread.

Let's not lose the rag if we do lose today. We lose games every year. We'll lose games this year. Today might be one, who knows?

Yes we all want signings. But the team is good enough to beat a tough Swansea.

All the people who said me and homer were utterly wrong in our stance.

Utterly wrong in your opinion that you have a notion what is going on behind the scenes. Eg: You being convinced that Moyes hasn't pushed the board enough to get the signings done; Homer being convinced that the delay in signings is caused by how United negotiate or what they're willing to pay; Homer thinking that we were definitely in for Garay. All these opinions are wild speculation and it is dumb that the pair of ye think they are anything else.

Utterly wrong in your opinion that there is no excuse for making signings late in the window.

Utterly wrong for acting as if making signings late in the window is the end of the world.

Not utterly wrong in being frustrated with a slow summer and not utterly wrong in thinking that making signings late in the summer is far from ideal.

All of this is very fúcking simple.

You are just happy that Tom Cleverley might get a few games. He's your favourite.

Even the most rose-tinted optimists among Utd fans will have been feeling quite anxious at how things have been going this summer. Uncertainty was inevitable but Woodward and Moyes have just exacerbated things by conducting far too much business through the media and ending up with nothing. If they pull a rabbit out of the hat at this stage there'll still be lingering doubts about the way they've been dealing with matters off the pitch.

Not a disastrous summer but Utd fans are entitled to expect better.

If I was manager I would give him the number 7. There I said it.

    Everyone wants signings.

However some people are level-headed. Some are not. That's the only difference I can see in here.

Have to win today. 3 points would take a lot of pressure off moyes with the hard run ahead. With chelsea and city having gimmes against hull and newcastle, its vital we get a win aswell

FFS it's always the same few people who come in and start the "this summer has been a shambles" thing.

There's not gonna be a new signing in todays team so why not just focus on the team that will play and see how it goes. If the midfield is doing shíte then say the midfield is doing shíte, not "just goes to show how ridiculous Woodward etc have been all summer when we have that midfield".

    Rant over.
