Soccer AM is still unwatchable drivel. If anything it might have gotten worse. That Tubes guy is just too creepy for a Saturday morning.

Gets worse every year. Cant stand your man Tubes.

Has been unwatchable ever since Lovejoy left it imo, not that he was that great or anything

Probably not the right place to ask this, but I think it is the best seeing as ye guys should know.
Where's the best place/site to buy the official jersey for kids(1 yr old and 2 yr old) with name/number printing.
I've tried 3 times to buy them in different bricks and mortar stores and each time they couldn't do the printing (either missing a number or missing letters or more likely in my opinion just didn't want to do it) So I have given up on shopping locally and keeping my money in the local economy and just need to buy these jerseys now (birthday presents), so wheres the best place to buy them.
As I said officially licenced jerseys, not the cheap knock offs.
    Thanks
    Dace

I know you could use the United website itself (probably the most expensive option) but they'll have exactly what you need.

    Lovejoy made Soccer AM.

Once he left it went downhill rapidly.

Funnily enough no, can only print 6 letters on the shirt apparently, and the childs name has 7 letters.

I know you said you dont want knock offs, but this site is superb and the closest thing I've found to the real shirts and about 1/3 the price
    http://www.soccerscorpion.se/manchester-utd-home-jersey-13/14.html

I have a feeling they are seconds shirts rather than knock offs...

    Lawrenson is one cringe bag.

Any combination of words becomes a tired cliché as soon as it leaves his lips.

Carrick could be out for today and Kagawa not expected to play.

Jones, Anderson and Cleverly in midfield :(

hope to f8ck this isnt true.

11/4 Swansea will tempt many if so..

Giggs surely get's in there if Carrick is out

If that is true, it is very hard to see us getting the win.

What the **** is the issue with Kagawa? I didn't feel he played enough last year, and I hope to god he is given as much game time as possible this year.

Ah good christ :( Least it may force our hands with finally going in for someone if we can't get a result.

The opposite is however true, if those three play a stormer and we win, well it won't be long until we hear that our midfield is good enough as is.

There is still quality all over the pitch to sneak a win.

hope to f*ck that the talk about Carrick is purely based on him not playing during the week though the worrying thing is that the others who pulled out, didnt travel according to BBC/Sky and all the other previews.

at the moment, 6 players dont play today due to injury...bad start already in that respect. its yet another reason why we should not have taken the risk in leaving it this late to get quality signings in, Injuries in preseason are fairly standard and can knock the squad off shape for a few weeks.

I think it says it all that Carrick might be injured and people are really worried about this like no other player.

We thankfully have not had to worry about this situation the past few years as he been fit nearly every game.

If Carrick gets bad injury throughout the season and we dont buy at least 1 CM before window closes we are in **** creak.

Kagawa played the full 90 for Japan so it will be no surprise if hes not involved today.

He played 24 hours earlier than everyone else though.

The game was in Japan so the travelling wouldn't have helped.

He'd be in bits by the time he got back to OT.

Phil Jagielka and Martinez both on sky there and pretty much said they expect Fellani/Baines going nowhere.

they are debating on the panel about Fellani and the consensus there is that United wont buy him and he may not suit our style.

Charlie Nicolas"i dont see Fellani as a United player and i cant see Moyes bidding for him.no disrespect to Fellani but Moyes wants "bigger"

I like your points though, and it certainly is an interesting conundrum... If it's not a steaming pile of bull****. :pac:

It's almost certainly a steaming pile of bullshít anyway. Like you said in your first post, don't believe anything until the player is signed (or maybe photographed having a medical behind a bed sheet).

I admit that Nani slipped my mind. If he was to get back to the start of 11/12 form then he rotates in with one of those 3. However, if he were to continue as he did last season (I don't think he will, but he could) then that's not an issue.

I still think Ozil is too big a player to turn down. I know it would impact time for the likes of Zaha, Young, Welbeck, Adnan and even Chich but a player as good as him is worth it. Someone like Willian, I don't think it's worth it.

As for Chicharito, RVP did have to bought, I don't think we would win the league without him. And if you offer me Ozil having as big an impact as he did with the sacrifice of minutes for Zaha et al, I'd take it. We need to be competing for the Champions League this season, Ozil helps us immediately, which in turns gives David Moyes a better chance of early success to ease the inevitable pressure on him. While giving more gametime to Zaha and Adnan (who I love) could be great in the long run, it might make Moyes job a bit tougher.

Yep, fairly easy for Nani to slip your mind after last season. There's still a chance that Rooney will leave or not play properly this season anyway, so you could have Ozil in instead of him in your scenario.

I don't agree that we wouldn't have won the league without RvP last year, but let's say, for the sake of argument, that's true. I think the long term benefit to the team of giving the talent we already have a fair chance out weighs the short term benefit of winning one league title. I think in the long run a team that brings through the likes of Nani, Kagawa, Chicharito plus the youth players properly would win more titles than a team who neglected those players by buying in RvP and Ozil.

With regards to the pressure on Moyes, we already have a world class selection of attacking players. He should be able to get a good league performance out of them. If he does, regardless of whether he wins anything or not, then he shouldn't be under pressure imo. Ozil might give Moyes a short term boost in achieving success at the club, but I'd really rather if the club just judged him fairly with a view to long term success.

Nice piece from Oliver Kay of the Times:

I seem to be almost the only person in the media to have tipped Man Utd to win the league. If I'm honest, I was quite surprised to find myself doing so given that (a) I didn't think they were great last season, (b) they haven't strengthened that midfield, (c) Ferguson has gone, (d) the Rooney situation is very destabilising and (e) Chelsea and Man City will be re-energised by new managers.
So why did I tip United? Because, despite all of the above, it's silly to write them off. I see almost nothing to choose between them, City and Chelsea.
City have the strongest squad, but it would be natural for Pellegrini and some of his new signings to take time to adjust to English football. Chelsea have Mourinho back, but their squad still lacks balance and looks weak in the areas where Mourinho teams are traditionally strong.
I expect all three of these teams to get between 85 and 90 points. It's *possible* Spurs or Arsenal could join the race if everything falls into place for them, *possible* that Liverpool could come fourth if they make a big improvement and others stand still, but for now i'd expect a compelling three-horse race with very little to choose between them. That's why it's daft to write off United. (I might write them off in the Champions League, but that's for another day ...)

    So don't write us off...

Goetze and Robben on the bench for Munich and Martinez not in the squad. Get them David!
