I thought everything was ok a few hours ago and now I'm like this:

"No Ivanovic and no Lukaku makes Mr.Prodston go...something something"

Thanks agreed i was think maybe kos instead of rio though as arsenal defence will be leaky again especially since its down to the bones as well.

Ya and Koscielny is pretty much nailed on barring injury. I'll be keeping an eye on Bent tho, he's an out and out no 9, Jol might like to utilise Berbatov slightly deeper with Bent up top, could work well for DB & DB :)

Yup agreed really fancy bent to get 15 league goals, so hopefully Hazard does the business for his DGW :D

No I'm saying they're not currently in my team and it worries me. I don't know if they're going to play

    Final Draft.

Went with Lukaku over Dzeko or Sturridge.

Have 1m in the bank and think Ill change him out if he looks like he'll be benched for Sturridge.

Other than that I have left Walcott out too.

    Any thoughts before I commit?

Thanks for all the help. Thread has been great.

Gyazo fcuked so may type this:

    Mignolet (Mannone)

Ivan, Coleman, Mr P. Turner, (Clyne, Ward)

    Hazard, Walcott, Mirallas, Lallana (Grandin)

    Soldado, Dzeko, Lukaku.

    3m bank.

Any thoughts? I've changed strikers about 5 times in the last hour alone, also considering Kaboul instead of Turner.

Anyone got any news on Walcott playing tomorrow?

Final Draft. Can't tinker anymore, I'm done. Time to logout, go to Eminem tomorrow and wake up Sunday with hopefully a huge score :P

Took me over two hours to pick this team, any advice/comments I would really appreciate it. :)

    Mignolet

    Ferdinand ----Garrido----Ivanovic

    ----Zaha----Coutinho----Snodgrass----Hazard----

    Anelka----RVP----Solgado

    Bench: Bellamy, Baker, McShane

Bench is crap I know, but what can ya do.

Think I'm pretty much nailed on to go with:
    Cech
Zabaleta // Coleman // Mickey Turner
Hazard (c) // Navas // Gaston Ramirez // Joe Cole
    RVP (v) // Lukaku // Aspas

    Bench: Brayford/Brady/Chester

Still have some doubts over Cole & Aspas but I honestly don't think I could be bothered thinking about this anymore tonight.

Ok unless anyone wants to twist my arm I think I'm settled on this team......for now

    6ienp3.jpg

Yes I'm mad. Only Hazard from the DGW but I refuse to be held to ransom. I'm uncertain over any of Chelsea's defense starting twice and then keeping a clean sheet. So I've picked the team (or well as close as is possible )that I wanted going into the new season. It's a risk but it's a risk either way. Last year loading up seemed to work well but this season is very different to last season.

While I haven't let myself be held to ransom by Chelsea I have been held to ransom by RVP. Once again a risk either way down to his price and his ownership levels. Many are saying they'll bring him in for GW4 but if my team is doing ok I'd like to be able to hold my wildcard a bit longer if I so wished. I haven't skimped on my forwards though. Soldado and RVP should be in my team for most of the season all going well. Dzeko has been in and out of my drafts the past few weeks but he deserves his place for a few weeks until the rest of the City forwards get up to speed and a bandwagon emerges. He should play and he should score. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...I know :pac:

Going back to my defenders I really have cut corners but I have 3 players I want and have remained pretty much a constant in all my drafts. Koscielny was a nobody in the early weeks while I was championing him for great things. He's nearly @10% ownership now. He's another constant in my team aslong as he's fit and Arsenal don't really capitulate. Coleman may not end up having the greatest defensive capabilities under Martinez but then again they won't be as bad as Wigan as Everton actually have players able to defend. And of course Mickey T. The man I named my team after and our one true hero. He's capable of keeping a clean sheet at home against anyone and can snatch a goal against anyone too. Chester and Ward should provide suitable cover and rotation options on occasion.

Three of the 5 speak for themselves. Mirallas, Walcott and Hazard. A gamble of sorts in Nathan Redmond but I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't have him after all my posturing. If he doesn't pay-off or play another cheapie will make himself known in time and can be rotated with Brady too.

There are a few "weak" people I'll have to rely on every week but the strength elsewhere will hopefully be enough. This is what I've picked and convinced myself will do the business and only time will tell if I've gone full retard by avoiding the DGW.

[Welsh accent]I've only gone and bloody done it[Welsh accent]

I've got the best of both worlds now I think by doing the following:

    Coleman -> Ivanovic
    Dzeko -> J-Rod
and just because of fixtures Brady -> Whittingham.

RVP should outscore Lukaku over 3 weeks
Dzeko isn't nailed on anyway and by doing the numbers in my head Ivanovic should play both. He could well be RB on Sunday with Cahill and Terry at CB while Azpil could be back on wed so one of the other two possibly Terry actually could be dropped as Cahill might be better able to stop Benteke

I wouldn't drop Dzeko, no way. Last minute changes may be regretted.

If Ivanovic get a clean sheet or two and maybe extra points on top of that it will be better than a goal or assist from Dzeko I think. But I hear you alright.

I think the opportunity cost of 2 clean sheets outweighs a goal or two from Dzeko. I've a sense about J-Rod too has been in a few drafts of mine. I can't have it all unfortunately when I have RVP.

Hoping Ivanovic starts both games too, and maybe even pops up with a goal! Would ya not think of swapping out Turner? :D

Haha, just realised i'd swapped Ivanovic out, and put in Cech, so no, don't really want him to score a goal!

Wow that's ridiculously generous. There's absolutely no need for it we're all here for mutual benefit and a bit of fun. I'd feel bad about taking the money if I were lucky enough to win :pac:

    Cech

    Toure Koscielny Coleman

    Walcott Mirallas Coutinho Hazard (c)

    Lukaku Dzeko Benteke (v)

    Krul Morrison Turner Turner
Despite the temptation to pick RVP, I've decided to stick with this. Still unsure about Morrison, hoping won't need him first 2 gw's and that Allardyce will give him a start in gw 3!

Most likey use wildcard in gw3.

Hang on, you not just have RVP in as your captain:confused:

Haha no I have RVP but Hazard is captain. That's how highly I value Mickey Turner.

I hope against all hope Norwich don't have a DGW because the urge to captain him could be detrimental.

Is Koren nailed on for Hull? I looked at three predicted lineups for Hull and he was left out of one. With him being on pen, free kicks and corners (although he shares some with Brady), I think I'd prefer to go with him over Brady. I may need him in GW2.

    Attempt #1

    D0pgqQ5.png

Good rotating keepers, 3 solid defenders (while Rafael is injured, Jones should play), 4 good midfielders (obv. Westwood goes after double), two strikers with double week, and Dzeko is the best valued player this season, IMO.

You could easily free up 1.0 by putting in a 4.5 keeper for rotation (Boruc, Westwood just to name two).

You've a lot of money tied up in defence which would be better invested elsewhere. Personally see Jones as too much of a rotation risk and not worth 6.0 at all. Fabio / Jones / Evans / Smalling are all possibilities, not to mention our new man Varela.. Also the fact that United have a horrible opening few weeks so will definitely not be keeping clean sheets

Luiz is out for the first game

Kagawa is too much of a rotation in my opinion risk despite being good value at 8.0.. This weekend Dizzy Moyes can choose any from Valencia, Zaha, Januzaj, Kagawa, Giggs, and potentially Nani. Kagawa is just back from midweek international duty so if he does play, I can't see him on for the full 90.

I see you have 5 DGW players, so unless you plan on using your wild card after GW2 you're screwed for GW3..

I feel something serious has been overlooked by everyone when deciding on their team. We all analyse the goal, assist, bonus point, clean sheet potential of each player. But what about one vital factor: beauty.

How good looking is your team?

I got my girlfriend to rate how good looking my team is, out of 10, and the results were pretty interesting.

    Mignolet - 4

    Mertesacker - 6
    Coleman - 7
    Vlaar- 8

    Walcott - 6
    Hazard - 8
    Mirallas - 6
    Coutinho - 4

    Benteke - 3
    Soldado - 9
    Dzeko - 1

    Boruc - 6
    Turner - 1
    Koren - 3
    Ward - 3

So that's an average of 5 per player. I think I've got some work to do.
But I'm pretty happy with my defence - first choice back 3 is apparently a good looking set of lads. Surprise of the team was definitely Ron Vlaar.

Forwards are a mixed bunch. Soldado with a very impressive 9. Dzeko on the other hand...well, might need to rethink his position in the team.

The overall score is definitely dragged down by the bench. I'm sure Mr. Prodston will be particularly crushed by Mickey Turners score. My explanation of 'But he's Mickey Turner' got only a blank stare in return.

You're lucky you don't have Navas. She would have dumped you as soon as you showed her the photo.
