Dangerous game. From what Pat from gamenash is saying, there's an unreal demand for this game already.

I surprisngly had no trouble walking into a shop and getting GTA IV, but there's no chance I'm taking a risk with this one.

    Pre-ordered with Gamesnash.

im nearly sure ill be safe not pre ordering because like with all games they sell out in games stop and xtravision and tesco has a full stock because everybody just forgets that they sell games

Props to Paco Rodriguez for announcing in the Online thread that Kavinski will be a DJ and have his own radio station in GTA V.

So, in theory, you should be able to drive around to the Drive film Soundtrack. Now just to find a Chevvy chevelle look-a-like (Stallion GT?) and cruise around night time Los Santos listening to this.

I'm not going to pre-order too. Am just going to buy it early on the day. I would be really shocked to hear that it's sold out everywhere in Dublin tho. Don't see that happening. Sure a few places might run out and cause you the inconvience of having to travel else where (Reason why I plan on buying early as i'll be about in town in the morning :p )

But on the subject, Don't think i've ever had a problem buying a game on launch day. It's always been consoles that run out quickly.

If you live in Dublin you should be okay to not pre order.

I'd get into Tesco early so. They will have a short amount of stock. I think a lot of people will head straight there for it as Fifa has always been at least €10 cheaper there than everywhere else.

Are you planning to start shipping on the Monday? I picked express shipping anyway so I should get it Tuesday.

My order number is # 2100607858 if you can mark it as a boardsie one so it will go out first! You can send it the previous Thursday/Friday if you like, I'm not fussed :pac:

Plan is to start shipping Monday unless someone else goes out beforehand in which case we will follow suit (highly unlikely though)

Yep - all boardises will for sure.

Not just at retail level lads. At wholesale / distributor level there appears to be little to no stock left Europe wide. I really would urge everyone to pre order (even if that's not with ourselves) You may indeed get the game on release day somewhere without a pre order and if so - happy days but I'm 100% confident this will sell out.

Whilst I'm here - I'm not ignoring the PM's coming in - just up to my proverbials here and they are taking a bit of time to go through. I will hopefully catch up by tomorrow ! The boards price offer still stands until midnight tonight, after that I can't do anything with price but we will still give priority picking to boardsies orders. So again please drop me a PM with your order number but bear in mind it may be a couple of days before I reply !

This is the first game I've ever pre-ordered. There's bound to be a copy available somewhere in Dublin on release date but I just don't see the point in putting myself through the hassle of trying to find it.

yea it's not worth taking the chance really.. and it's much handier to know when and where your getting the game..

Yeah, might as well pre order. I remember for one or two GTA game it was hard to get. One was sold out everwhere, one was sold out in all the city centre locations. I drove out to smyths in blanch to get it.
Banking on tesco, which might have 10 copies is risky business.

Heres a link to a piece where I read about the Kavinsky thing. The guy was allowed to do a mission so he talks about how you are first introduced to Franklyn in the game, so if you don't want to know, beware.

    Can't stand Domino's...

If I'm doing a lot of gaming, and I don't get the chance much any more, I always make a big pot of pasta and sauce and just nuke myself a bowlful whenever I realise I'm hungry. Beats the fuck out of crappy takeaway.

I'm planning dominos simply for the fact I can order it through the app on my iPhone. Ain't nobody got time to be calling in delivery orders when there's gta to be played :D

I'll be in work when it's released. I'll be on my way home at 7am on release day, wonder if anywhere will be open yet :pac:

I just pre-ordered. I was gonna gamble picking up a copy in Tesco on the day but I won't risk it now seeing all the attention that the game is getting.

Can just see you being transfixed on the game and a criminal gang making off with whatever these cameras are watching over!

Where do you work exactly? :P

i know this isint exactly related to this page but this tune belongs in gta5 it just fits the whole GTA SA scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4jNyr6BJZuI

So by pre-ordering GTA-5 is the only special feature getting to fly a blimp!? Or am I missing something?

I was gonna pre-order but at this rate I'm happier to shop around and get the cheapest price.. money is unfrotunately not flowing at this moment in time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,789 ✭✭✭✭ScumLord

So is the multiplayer is a completely separate game? It looks like it has a separate story and missions. It's not just a case of playing death matches in the city.

i think i read somewhere after the whole pre order for the blimp promotion they said everybody has access to the blimp because its unfair that somebody who didnt pre order can just steal one from someone who did
