Vorm and Morrisson are expensive bench options..

Vorm is on the bench cause he's playing RVP, after that he's 1st choice. Morrison and Weimann are my problem really......i cant find better players to split 12M.

Thoughts? My attempt at having RVP.. Seems quite strong..

Only problem is the lack of DGW presence..

And I only needed to make 4 subs from my original team

Lukaku & Dzeko are rotation risks. IMHO, you can only have one of them.... providing you have a strong bench.

Yaya Toure will be playing further back than last season with Nasri, Silva, Navas, Aguero, Jovetic occupying advance midfield roles.

Davis is the second choice Southampton keeper and won't play much, if at all.

Chambers is the second choice right back behind Clyne, who will be fit in GW2, if not for GW1 (even the GW1 fixture isn't that favourable).

Palace will massively struggle to score goals, Jedinak is not a great choice.

Lescott is a short term fix while Nastastic is out. Even so, he may be rotated with Richards at CB in the meantime.

There are cheaper ways into West Ham cleansheet potential than Jussi @ 5.5

You only have 1 DGW player and will most likely be on the back foot right from the start, barring a big return from Dzeko (who may play 1 min, or score a hat trick).

It's worth looking at Jay Rodriguez @6 too. Although there are some rumours of Pablo Osvaldo coming but I've seen him be linked to an array of teams in the past few days. I think he could be a good option, finished last season well (namely since Pochetino took over) and has scored a handy amount in pre-season. Might also revel with everyone else looking at Lambert because he scored against Scotland :pac:

As you're not going to be playing Morrison he really is a vacuum for your budget. The Wolf is @7, Berb is 7.5 so by downgrading him to a 4.5/5.0 more options open up or you could go to Lukaku from Dzeko too if J-Rod floated your boat. Morrison seems to be restricting you and not having a 4.0 defender hurts you too. All 5 are viable options every week yet you'll play 3 most, maybe 4 the odd time. I'd drop either of the 5.0's or get rid of Terry in GW2 anyway

was thinking of the wolf and a 5 midfielder but i dont want 2 Norwich players

what do you think of dropping coleman for a 4 defender, pick a 5 midfielder and bring in Lukaku for Weimann...?

To be honest that was just something i threw together quickly.. I have an exam tomorrow and this is far more interesting :p

Thanks for ripping it apart though.. You've given me one or two things to consider in my own team ;)

Norwich will do well this year, they've made some shrewd signings. I wouldn't worry when one of them is a defender anyway.

As long as you have an exit strategy with GW3 looming it sounds ok although having both Dzeko and Lukaku for much longer than a week or two may not be advisable with the uncertainty hanging over both.

Dzeko, Lukaku, Turner and Nolan (maybe) are the only players i can see changing. The rest are all 1st teamers/low-price

Did Walcott get a injury against Scotland? If he's out, ill change him for Cazorla

    Opinions?

looks a pretty good team to me. one or two concerns. Anelka: now that West Brom have signed Vydra on loan, his place looks alot less secure. Nolan, i'm not too sure about. he's getting on now a bit for a midfielder, i think there's probably better options in that price range. Silva could do well, but he didn't do great last year, and again there's alot of options in that price range. defense looks very good but maybe TOO good, might have a bit too much invested there. hope that helps. p.s. wenger said there's no injury concerns from internationals. walcott good to go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭1mcampo1

Keeping that defence as they all are v.good at going forward, bar Zab

in the 7mil price range, the few that stand out for me are Nolan, Snodgrass, Sterling, Ben Arfa, Downing or Taarbat maybe...

for Silva's place, i could put in Gerrard/Coutinho, Michu, Kagawa/Nani/Valencia/Young (too much rotation at Utd to consider a midfielder from them... will wait until after a few games to see how they line out)

Have my doubts over Dzeko. I could upgrade him to Giroud as Arsenal have a decent opening few fixtures

Nolan is first name on teamsheet along with Carroll(barring injuries) - West Ham have good opening fixtures for first 6 gw.

Don't really want to spend that much on Van Persie, but if I wanted, this is what it looks like:

What do you think? Is Moses such a bad idea to have?

Am also thinking of going with Silva instead of Coutinho? Who would ye go for?

I had Silva instead of Coutinho but after BR said that Coutinho will be playing in the hole and because of his pre season form I chose Cout.

City has so many great attackers that points might be spredded to many players unlike in Liverpool and I think Dzeko is enough City coverage for first three rounds.

If keep lescott and Collins. Lescott will play the first game or two and who knows he could keep his place. Collins is only a doubt and for 4.5m you won't get a much better defender. I have both. Please give advise on mine please

I have read from WH forums that Collins isnt nailed. He would be bargain with that price if he nails the spot.

Lescott will be CB until Nasty is back. Pelle could go with back four zab-rihcards-kompany-clichy but I think its quite unlikely. Lescott offers also good attacking threat on corners.

Hey all, looking for any feedback or opinions on this team, struggling to upload image so unfortunately can only type it:

Mignonet 5.5 (Sub Keeper Boruc 4.5)

Dawson 5.0 Azpilicueta 6.0 Coleman 5.0 (Sub Defenders: Chester 4.0 and Turner 4.5)

Walcott 9.5 Mirallas 7.5 Hazard 9.5 Kagawa 8.0 (Sub Midfielder: Routledge 5.5 for now, saw he played well in europa leage game against Malmo, another option Hulls Brady)

Bony 8.0 Soldado 9.5 Dzeko 7.5 (Is sturridge an option, maybe Van wolf / Hooper -- Sturridge -- Negredo)

Have 0.5m in bank so I can update a 5m defender to Toure or Arsenal defender Kos or Mert and change keeper. Or Should I drop Dawson for 0.5 cheaper and use 0.5 already free and get Cech for DGW? Play Boruc GW3 they are away to Norwicd, not the worst fixture. Play Cech and play Boruc gw6?

Any thoughts on this guys? Any feedback welcome and appreicated, I even have M Turner to keep the majority here happy!

I think this will be my final draft, I have 1m left over which I'll be using to upgrade Zaha to Kagawa if it looks like he'll be getting playing time this season as well as downgrading Terry for the season ahead to a cheaper option. I think defenders on passing teams with decent defensive records will be huge this season so someone like Chico at Swansea who regularly gets in the high 80s and 90s for passing should accumulate a lot more points this season as well as getting plenty of tackles and clearances so may take a punt on him but Nastasic is probably my first choice replacement if he's fit.

My punts are Dzeko and Zaha but Zaha will definitely be upgraded unless he racks the points up early doors as for Dzeko, I just hope he plays. I thought Aguero was more match fit and was planning on building my team around him and although I think he will be firmly first choice come the end of the season, I couldn't afford the cameo, non playing risk.

As for Soldado, some could call him a risk but bar the NLD in the first five fixtures I think he should hit the ground running and has bandwagon potential.

Any thoughts on this line up:
    Mignolet

    Ivanovic Zabaleta McAuley

    Sessegnon Fellaini Michu Sterling

    Ruiz Van Persie Benteke

    Boruc
    Whittaker
    Diame
    Baker

Can Benteke do as well as last year? Bear in mind its a DGW for him so It justifies selection but Players like Sessegnon, there is talks of him leaving, For the price of Michu you can afford better options (Again with Bony can he repeat the success he had last year?
for Mucho and Sessegnon - 16m, you can get Yaya and Miralles, granted Michu is a class player, but will be playing less advanced with Bony there this year. Also you could get Coutinho/ Gerrard (9 million) and if you free up another 0.5 Miralles or as it stands Nolan, Coutinho and Nolan?

for example up front Ruiz and Benteke is 15 Million, you could swap Lukaku for Benteke, could Cornelius for Cardiff or Jay Rod for Southampton do better than Ruiz, where Berbatov will be more diminant and have Rodellega too? Diame for 5m, who is a defensive mid, I would try find a cheaper further forward midielder and avoid Lucas, Diame, Carrick players like this as they are mainly 2 / 3 point players (90 minute and 1 point clean sheet, and odd bonus point). you could play Kim or Brady instead. Sterling, will he play constantly, with Downing, coutinho, Gerrard, Lucas, Sturridge and Aspas or will Sterling be rotated? Sessegnon - Kevin Nolan could be option, as West Ham have better starting fixtures and guaranteed starter. Sorry for all the options...

Opinions? If nothing specific happens... I'm quite happy with this team and the prospect of points for the 3 initial GW's.

ok, some thoughts on this please, actually it's not a final draft so maybe i'm in the wrong thread, i have one or two decisions to make regarding the dgw. this is my team, i have 1.0 to spare.

i plan to put someone else in for RVP, but keep the money there to put him in in gw 2 or gw3.

do i use the 1.0 to put oscar in for mirallas? i'd like mirallas for gw2 and gw3 so that's my gw 1 transfer gone straight away. and then put negredo in for RVP with the switch back in mind for gw2 or gw3.

or do i just put lukaku in for RVP and use the extra 1.0 to beef up my team a bit?

    here's my team

I like your midfield but not your forward line. You could be looking for 3 new strikers come GW3, with 2 having no game and one having doubts over his playing time.

I wouldn't have both Lukaku and Dzeko as both are gambles. I'd go one or the other.

Also, if City concede you are goosed. I'd change either Hart or Lescott, maybe to an Arsenal defender.

Very similar to my own but your almost certain to need a hit (or two) with 4 DGW players and Dzeko for GW3.

I've one less than that and still feel uneasy. One injury to a premium mid and your up **** creek imho.

Any opinions appreciated! If Walcott is out will bring in one of city's midfielders not sure who yet. Will sub in turner for ivanovic after GW1 and likewise with Cech and Hazard.
Lambert and Dzeco are prob gambles but hope Dzeco starts.

    f3ct.jpg

    So here's the plan.

Everton, Man City, and Chealsea have a decent chance of keeping clean sheets in GW1, hence the 4 man defence.

Sub out Ivanovich for Downing or Davis on for Chech for GW2, as Chealsea may concede against Man Utd.

For GW3, Davis on for Chech or Ivanovich for Downing, (opposite to previous week), Dikgacoi for Hazard.

I'll have a few substitutions saved up for GW4 then.

Can only 1 substitute be carried over to the following game week, with a maximum of 2 in a week? I mean, I won't have 3 subs in GW3 if a saved them?

What do you think lads? Strangely having second thoughts on Silva of all people, wonder whether Michu might be a better shout.

I would keep Michu. He'll be playing in the hole behind Bony, assuming Bony doesn't get injured, which is his preferred position. That means his assists should go up, but he'll still score goals. I'm going to nab him or Bony after the DGW.
