And then eat the rest of them.

And wash it all down with tea.

    Good enough for you?

No, not good enough for me because you just made it up.
If you have nothing else to add then **** off.

You already failed at trying to get us to '**** off'. Weapons in the hands of Republicans put a stop to that.

You can't win. You'll never win. You know why? Because you haven't got it in you.

Seriously, if ever a copper deserved to be given some sort of reward from AH, that one should get it.

I want to see AH put out a prize for each fleg rioter de-balled by the PSNI

Wld hv been nice if you had heeded kenny everetts advice to round em up, put em in a field and @omb the bast(rds. Both sets of clowns that is.

Loyalists rioters are only doing harm for themselves. They are pretty much isolated now. What to do with them is the problem? Maybe the British should replant them on the Isle of Man or even better the Falklands? Seriously they are becoming a pain in the arse for everbody. Life cant be that bad for them up there, can it?

So, presumably, when it comes to the republicans turn to riot, the PSNI will be applauded on here for cracking a few heads too?

Or, alternatively, will we be treated to the usual clichéd 'crown forces of oppression' anti-British guff?

Totally agree on first point. What you don't realise is that Northern Ireland is not a normal society. Rioting, shooting, bombing etc will most likely result in a highly paid community worker job. But don't despair just like last year it's ebbs and flows as nxt it will be the republican scuzzbags rioting. We love it up here. Pity It wasn't in the Olympics.

Yep - I'm non-sectarian when it comes to applauding the police for taking the testicles of rioting idiots out of commission :pac:

Love Northern Ireland myself. Its a beautiful part of the island with so much potential in it. Belfast has a brilliant city centre. Why can't it be a normal society some day? Why cant people live side by side instead of spending their lives hating each other? Would it be true to say the majority of the population up North are willing to live side by side if it means peace or do they all secretly detest each other?

You say next it will be the republicans rioting but to me over the last couple of years it looks as if the Loyalist rioting is far more frequent.

Republicans rioted last summer in Ardoyne after the Orange walk while two people were stabbed and police attacked at an anti-internment bonfire a few nights ago in Belfast. Both republicans and loyalists do like a riot from time to time, sadly.

But yes, of course, the vast majority of people just get on with life as normal. Relatively small numbers of troublemakers will always be the ones who get the news splash; the upshot is that outsiders begin to feel this is the norm in NI. It really isn't.

An empty drum makes the loudest noise.

Last year the ardoyne republicans were rioting as the 12 th parade was let past.
Things are a lot better than say 20 years ago but still a lot of hatred and one up manship on both sides. Lot of twats on all sides the loyalists being thicker the Provos being cuter but still scuzzers.

I wld describe myself as a unionist unashamedly but disliking caveman loyalism and propaganda republicanism with disdain.

I'm sure this thread is just a resurrection of one that was hammered out earlier in the summer.

Surely there's no group stupid enough to go rioting on the weekend the International Police & Fire Games are taking place in Belfast?

How does one identify a NI car as opposed to one from GB?

By and large, NI reg is 3 x alpha, 4 x numeric. GB is 1 alpha, 3 numeric, 3 alpha.

    Except for the personalised plates.

    Quite easily by the plates.

GB plates changed a few years back. It's now 2 x numeric which, like Ireland, states the year of registration. I think the first 2 alpha relate to location of first registration.

The 3 x alpha on NI cars - first one relates to year of registration and next two, county. Best reg's I've seen were Fermanagh plates BIG 1 then a couple of years later DIG 1.

    two flaws in this statement.

"Surely there's no group stupid enough" this is Northern Ireland. there are many stupid enough.

"Police & Fire Games are taking place in Belfast" So all the cops are busy playing hockey and tug of war etc (BTW PSNI got silver in both of these events!)

I can't wait for the day in the not too far away future when Ireland reunifies using peaceful and political means. There will then be all out Civil War and the Irish Gardai and Army will be assigned the duty of controlling these bigots.

Scotland will be independent also so their entire Union is dissolving before their eyes and the English will soon be a minority in their own country. Playing empire has really backfired upon the English. Sinn Fein are a rising power in the Republic and are the biggest political party on the island of Ireland winning continued democratic mandates. In a United Ireland Sinn Fein will dominate Irish politics.

Do you think the type of person who would vandalise a car for being from NI is likely to have done the research necessary to identify it by the alphanumeric pattern in its plates?

So republicans are marching today in castlederg to commemorate 2 ira men. Is this normal? Do loyalists commemorate paramilitaries that died in active service?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 147 ✭✭abacus120

I am so, so sorry. That is absolutely shameful. All I can say is that the overwhelming majority of people are not like that.
I met some really lovely people who were trying to help us find a way out and a taxi etc so I know that the majority are lovely people,i will definitely return as its a really lovely place.Looking at the news and papers, hard to believe I saw it all, last thing I expected on our journey up :)

the sooner we develop the technology to separate the 6 counties form the rest of the island and let it drift off into the North Sea, the better.

Because everyone in NI is a sectarian bigot who love to engage in the annual rioting.

Not just a mindless group who would go to the ends of the earth to partake in a bit of stone throwing.

Even weirder is that the 2 clowns were going to blow up castlederg. If they had their way there would have been no town centre to hold this march. This is a bit of a strange one even by Northern Ireland standards.

Don't even need to go that far. Rebuild Hadrian's wall at the border like that film Doomsday. Cavan can be included for good measure

Sorry meant to add in answer to your question, no it is not normal. Welcome to Northern Ireland. Just when you think it's safe to get back into the water....
