Lads and Ladies be extra careful with yer cars had someone try and rob mine last night but thank god the alarm went off and woke everyone in the house. Please i'd hate it to happen to anyone.

Christ man any harm down by the clowns? It's getting really frequent now, getting worried.

My car only has one wheel on it at the moment so I think I'm fairly safe :P It doesn't have an alarm or immobilizer though...

I've finally had a few evenings getting away from work early enough so have been building this in the evenings the last few days.

Just some scratches at the door, the alarm went off and is fairly loud and woke up alot of the neighbours too and some just happen to own firearms :D Nothing seems to be safe anymore :(

At least you can be pretty sure they won't be back as they know they can't get into it?? I would imagine anyway!

My cousins car was robbed only last week. They broke into the house when no one was there. Pulled the alarm of the wall robbed a good bit and then took his car 02 ish Ibiza. Luckily the car was found in a field a mile and half down the road a few days later very little damage too.

I'd better bring foreward these plans on making some spaces in the yard like the old days, I could drive up beside the house before. I've been exiled along the road as it isn't Italian :pac:

406 locks are quite good though, bash a screwdriver into them and they just turn round, won't open. Key is double sided and all :)

    Quick question for you.

When I got the Levin it came with genuine Toyota wind deflectors. I put them on at the time (just sitting on not stuck) and thought they looked sh!te. Then today I put one on again and thought it looked good:confused::pac:

So basically, wind deflectors, yes or no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,729 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

    Always yes.

    As Cian said, always yes!

I got a g3 claybar today and got an applicator with it, it smells lovely :pac:

I think they look cock. I personally like to keep cars pretty much stock. Adding on wind deflectors, eyelids etc looks tacky to me.

Save some most of the quick detailed in a spare bottle and dilute what you're using with water!
I made the mistake if not doing this and burning through ~€15. :o

Wind deflectors are functional and once they're low profile (such as most OEM ones) they looks nice.
If nothing else, they're great for leaving the window open in the rain and not getting wet.

I am starting to lean that way alright.

They are factory optional extras, does that change your opinion?

I'm trying to get a few nice factory options on it, trying to source sill kick strips at the moment too:)

Way ahead of you haha, No this thing is like a polishing pad but it has a groove for the claybar itself, it's strange, Yeah like they can be nice, but there was ones on the old pajeros that were basically as big as the door

Oh I've seen those, looks like it's to make it handier to work with? I just though by hand seemed easiest.

Those are for keeping muck and rocks out.

I'd need a ten pack of Meguir's clay to do a jeep, I'm fairly liberal with this detailing stuff, our own Dead_Zebra was shocked at how much quick detailed I used per panel. :p

I'm the type to use a bit, if it works, use a bit more, then get carried away :pac:

But I wouldn't go mad on that kinda stuff, tis not cheap!

At the time I didn't realize you had diluted it I thought you were just pouring it on :P

I'm a cheap bastard that's why I always use so little of everything!:D

    Are you well armed?

In other news, my injector noise was gone this morning, I think a clean and a flow test is in order.
