Came across this in Lidl today. 1kg of cooking bacon for 1.99 euro. Never seen it before, just wondering what the deal is with it. How come its so cheap?

It's made of people! Poor people at that. Stay away!

It's a mixture of different varieties of bacon. Prob left overs that were cut funny and the like.

Tesco sell a pack of bacon bits for €1, you get all different cuts, scraps, smoked, not smoked. Great value, we buy lots when they have them and freeze them.

I love to chop them up and put them in salads and stirfrys and the like.

The tesco one is very salty, you might want to soak in water beforehand if it is too.
