It's like any other cheating only more dangerous to their health and to health of their partners. Plus it's usually done by cowards.

I don't condemn sleeping with prostitutes in every instance.

Err, I'm sure the ladies love it.

Or perhaps another more obvious answer.

What do I think of a story you heard?

I think if someone has the capacity to break their marriage vows or cheat in a long term relationship that the fact its on a golf trip with other men and the infidelity is with a prostitute is irrelevant.

Arguably emotional cheating would be a much harder blow where someone has a actual relationship with another woman and maintains a deception over a number of months or years.

But either way - cheating is cheating and personally it would be unacceptable to me in my relationship and I would end the relationship if it came to light that it was happening.

I personally would not except cheating in a relationship.

My first thought on this, is this normally behaviour on golfing trips away.

what a horrible suitation for there wifes/partners, having no idea what kind of relationship they are in. That this group of men have no problem in lying and would only be sorry it they got caught. (What happens in spain stays in spain)

This story made me question my relationship, wondering what stories do people know about mine and not telling me.

Cheaters are going to cheat regardless of where they are or who with.

A story about men using prostitutes in spain makes you question your relationship?

That sounds to me like you have serious insecurities.

Candy girl yes i agree with you totally, but what shocked me the most is i know that this group would not do this when they are at home, but it was ok by their standards to cheat when they were away and return home to their lives just as they had left them.

No it's not normal behaviour. I know plenty of men (and women) who are able to go on trips and not cheat. I trust my partner. That doesn't mean he will never cheat but it's way more likely that he won't (in my opinion). And considering I have no reason to think he is cheating now I don't worry about it. Just because someone is cheating it doesn't mean everybody is.

So do you know this group of guys personally who went on this trip. What they did on holiday really shouldn't effect your relationship, it's not fair on your OH.

Using prostitutes and cheating are two entirely separate issues.

Cheating, I don't condone at all.

Prostitutes - I couldn't care less if a person uses them.

The fact that it's leaving you questioning your relationship is worrying, though. Surely you should trust your partner?

I wouldn't condemn someone for using a prostitute (so long as they weren't trafficked and were healthy etc), but I would find it a little bit... well, sad.

As for the case in the OP of men in relationships using brothels abroad, that is absolutely pathetic. It's still a form of cheating (unless they're in open relationships which I doubt), and just because the girl's been paid doesn't mean the man's guilt should be assuaged.

Definitely a very impartial OP user name .

So somebody told you that your husband was with a prostitute in Spain? Have you spoken to him about it?

A man sneaks off and spends €100 on a prostitute and its pathetic! a woman sneaks off and spends €400 on a handbag and it's just a bit quirky?

I reckon OP might be a male, either after indulging in some trick gash, or was a good boy on this occasion, but wondering if he can empty his correction pen, on the next vacation.

Nah. The OP is mad and looking for validation from the sisters.

No mention of her husband in that story.

If it was her husband who cheated on her with a prostitute, I think her anger would be very valid, wouldn't you?

Again, no mention of her husband though.

How can you equate cheating on your partner with a prostitute and buying a handbag?

Sneaking off to spend €400 on a hand bag is a lot more devious but is normalised and trivialialised by womens or "girlie mags" etc.

The answer to the problem is obvious. All golfers should be locked up in chastity devices before letting them go off to Spain. If your husband was one of the guilty party, that is your “action needed”.

Never mind Spain – what about the home turf?

Rugby internationals in Landsdowne Road attract prostitutes who book into the same hotels as do the lads who are up in Dublin for the match.

The "girls" look and dress just like fans. If you worried about things like this you'd never let the guy out of your sight – there has to be an element of trust in relationships.

Most prostitutes are the victims of years of child sexual abuse, are drug or alcohol dependent or have been forced into sex slavery by criminals for a combination of all three. Prostitution is therefore rape and sexual exploitation of women.
Any man who uses a prostitute is a rapist and a scumbag.
Consider the life of a prostitute who is being forced to have sex with dozens of men day after day.
How about if it was your sister, daughter, friend etc etc?
Many of these prostitutes are kept in line through fear and violence and many of them are murdered by pimps or by men who feel they have entitlement to have sex.
That is what prostitution is really about.
Men who feel they have an entitlement to defile women.
The hypocrisy involved is also revolting.
Women are seen as "whores" and "dirty" while men are seen as legends for how many women they can have sex with.
I am a man and I would sooner be celibate than use a prostitute like a piece of meat.
