    Used to go to the 'Custom Car (magazine) show' in London in the 80's, bought chrome 'CustomCar' badges and chrome lift kits for my 3.0 Capri ( never lifted it, LOWERED it instead, but the bars looked cool :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Here's a Lithuanian who thinks the Irish are mugs - WHO in their right mind would buy a Russian vintage car , and for more than €10 :eek:

    Just watching my Monday night 'car fest' repeats on the box -

    Fast n Loud got a 69 Shelby Mustang for $25,000, spent $500 on brakes and a tune up (did NOTHING with the peeling paint and torn upholstery ) and flipped it for nearly $35,000 - $9,500 for doing a quick tune up ;);)

    Wheeler dealers got a P38 Range Rover, got loads of recond. parts for it and turned a few bob as well


    Got me to thinking about 'easy' restos - where you can get the parts by post in a few days.:rolleyes:

    BMC/BL/Rover stuff have Rimmer Bros and lots of others

    Merc/Audi/BMW have Otto and others here

    French / Italian stuff bit more difficult to source

    US stuff either by post from the US or the UK / Europe

    Yeah simple , buy them here and sell them in the Uk, otherwise you'd be p1ssing in the wind, so go find a partner in the uk first.

    It is with inner torment I now put this ad on my peculiar Capri equipage, but time has run its course and hope to find a buyer who wants to continue managing this unique rig. car: Ford Capri 2.0 S from 1979 during my 25 years as owners updated with 2.0 DOHC engine with 5 speed manual transmission associated MT75 box from Sierra. Capri 2.8 front springs and vent. boards and Granada calipers. Orig rear axle and brakes but CCI simple leaf springs. Inside is Sierra XR4 seats, Momo steering wheel, white gauges in-built instrument panel and center console with buttons for control functions. Power windows and rear headrests. New alternator and starter motor replacement in July 2013. Inspected until Sept. 30. 2013. New front spoiler included. Unfortunately, not all good, door bottom is rust corrupt. Heat pack is leaking and is bypassed (new included) but in the summer, no heat! Tank Meter inoperative.

    Trailer: Built to suit Capri widths and gauges and typed in 1997 as trailer flatbed. hood (which is removable) built by 1977, Capri and Capri 1979 rear. Lids back to front, fitted with sunblind, washers and wipers that are controlled from inside the truck. Sunroof. 4 sliding tinted side windows. Electrical socket in the rear tank flap. Inside there is sleeping space for two people and luggage, two lights, stereo, 12v and 220v power outlets in every corner, its own battery. The trailer inspected in 2012 and approved for another two years.

    Serious bids, the above Capri equipage, from people who say their real name, address, phone no. and e-mail, sent to my email address, last August 22, 2013, I will consider, with unlimited jurisdiction. No access! At the low bid will be no sale! The car is available in Skåne. I will most likely the motor assembly in Svedalavägen on the 24/8 with Capri rig.

    The early base Granada's were badged as Consuls.

    The Consul name was revived for the small-engined Granada with 1996 cc Essex V4, or 2495 cc Essex V6 power units in the UK. In Germany this Ford Consul was offered with a choice of German built Ford engines, starting with the 1680 cc Ford Taunus V4 engine familiar to drivers of the Ford Taunus 17M.[9]
