How is everyone doing? I'm 19+ weeks now and feeling lots of movement. Hubby has felt a few kicks too which is great! So reassuring!

We had a scan last weekend and the sonographer is fairly convinced we're having another girl! We couldn't be happier!

I hope everyone else is having happy, healthy pregnancies :)

Hey :) im 21+ now,im the same been feeling plenty of movements & can see my belly move, its amazing. Aww congrats :D ive my scan thursday it cant come quick enough,im thinking this is a boy but not long till i find out.

21+5 and it's feeling really real now! Kicks are coming quite often and my lower back can really feel the stretch. Scan is next Saturday. I had to put it back a few days as my little girl got the chicken pox last week and I want it well cleared by the time I go in.

just thinking of my scan she said its a boy nothing about its not 100%, i seen his bits so i know hes deffo a boy lol i found out with my daughter & son and was right both times. Im not sure how often they get it wrong, you could always go for a 3D scan if you want to double check :)

I don't know whether the figure is Irish or not, but they say it's about 80-90% correct. I know a couple, they were told boy for first and girl for second and both times they were told wrong. -but that would be something that would be nearly unheard of.

OH is due the 4th August. Things going really well now and the babies movement is really noticeable now. Some very violent kicks and punches going on in there. It has most definitely become more 'real' for me I have to say.

We are beginning to get the house in order and have some renovations to get done before the new arrival makes there entrance into this world. We are also having to get all the 'grown up' things sorted like our Wills, Insurances, etc all sorted (just in cases). I really don't expect either of us to be going anywhere anytime soon.

As you can probably tell from the above this is our first and the more and more my OH's belly grows the more and more I find I'm becoming attached to this baby that is yet to be born. I can now really understand what people mean by unconditional love. I think with every kick or punch I feel each night the more this love increases. I haven't started talking to the 'bump' yet... just feels a bit weird really  What I am finding is how much I'm liking the whole process. I'm finding that the best way for me to deal with all that is going on it to just go with it all. We have about 16 weeks to go and (much like that FF election slogan a few years back) we have "a lot done, more to do".

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

Weve picked little mans name aswell almost certain he'll be Alfie, with my other two we picked their names early on & didn't change. With my 1st i remember worrying a bit thinking does she look like an amber etc but stuck with her name & don't regret it :)

Glad everythings going well for ye,im 24 weeks seems to be going by quick won't be long untill august is here :) im lucky i kept things from my son so means i have very little left to buy mainly clothes & bits.

We changed our minds even before she (number 1) was born. :) Didn't know she was a she then, we had two choices, but we changed the girl name half way through. But there was still two possible girl names when she was born. And like ye, we didn't tell anyone - just on case. I think that's something a bit special that ye share just between the two of you until the time is right. And if that's two days after baby is born, so be it. Ya gotta be sure.

Again we have two names - boy and girl - just in case, though we actually found out this time and should only need the one. And again, we're not telling anyone anything, not the sex or the possible names. *zip* my lips are sealed! :p

    Hi all,
Haven't been on boards in a while and have lost my hotmail address so new username. How is everyone doing? EDD at this time is 27 August (changed a few times). Anyone else hungry all the time? Not sure if I feel more like a goat (eating everything in sight!) Or a horse (volume baby!). Getting my first gestational diabetes test soon. Am I supposed to fast before this and are you supposed to book yourself in for an appointment? Does it matter if you do it in the morning or afternoon? Dreading it!

Hi, I don't see this thread very often. I hope you're getting on well. I hope you're not being pressurised to be induced by your due date.

Sat through what was either a pinched nerve (coming in waves - dont think it was that) or fairly strong Braxton Hicks for an hour last night. Was beginning to think I was going in 5 weeks early.

Glad to hear that. At my last app on last pregnancy I was told (told! mind you) that I'd be brought in to be induced if I hadn't gone by a certain day. I left feeling very out of control and upset. Luckily, I did go naturally or I'd have been much more upset about that delivery than I was.

I've been told many times - and I believe it to be true - that no matter the delivery, as long as the mum has say and input and feels listened to, then she comes out with a better feeling. It's really pushed me to be more proactive and assertive this pregnancy than last.

OH due on 4th Aug so babo could come along anytime now. OH is a bit like Lady MacBeth at the moment ("Out, out damn spot"). She would love if it just came along now. The warm/hot weather over the last few weeks has not done her any favours too. She's sleeping and resting quite a lot now in anticipation of the new arrival. Will keep you all posted on developments!!

I feel her pain. I was in a bad way all weekend - emotionally. I just feel like I've been pregnant forever. I think the extra time "trying" adds to the feeling.

I feel better this morning but I'd still like this baby to be here ASAP. 38 weeks is good enough for me!

And doesn't that sound so selfish. :(

No it doesn't nicowa, mine's a Sept baby, I'm 34 weeks with a difficult pregnancy and I've been ready to throw in the towel since the beginning! I know belly is best for baby right now but I'd SOOOO love to not be pregnant, I miss my body.
So don't beat yourself up, 38 weeks is fantastic and you're well entitled to feel as you do :-)

I just can't wait to wear some of my old clothes again and to hug my husband without this giant thing in the way. I was much more patient last time. But to be fair, at this stage I've been pregnant for 18 mths of the last 36...

I'm glad the two kids will be so close in age, and it was a deliberate move so I'd combine the two and get back to work quicker (I was unemployed when I fell pregnant the first time) but I'm tired now!

Day 269 according to my pregnancy tracker. 38 weeks, 3 days.
