Really big fan of a lot of the output in the boiler room series. The Derrick Carter and Ben Klock sets are top notch but for all out rocking it's hard to beat DJ Pierre's set.

What are other people favourites in the series?

I liked the Mark Kinchen set!! He looks a little under the influence of some illegal substance.. Looks like he is having great craic

I like a lot of them myself, particularly the Metalheadz sets, DBridge and Goldie's ones. Although some of the mixing in Goldie's set, is a bit suspect, but top tunes from both.

great producer, but that DJ set is embarrassing. if he spent less time fist-pumping the air, and actually picked up a set of headphones once throughout the whole thing, i might be slightly more impressed.

Good suggestions so far, keep 'em comin. Just for the fact that I'd tear her out of it Nina Kraviz gets a mention. Dodgy mixing aside some quality tunes in this set.

i know there has ,some of the sets have been played there but im talking about the saps that go from one trend to another and the boiler room seems to be a trend now

I wouldn't necessarily call them saps but I know what you mean. The Boiler Room is like, sooo cool right now. :rolleyes:

dj sets:

scuba b2b George Fitz.
Dixon b2b Ame - (dixons remix of that ian pooley tune at 37 mins.....)
Ame - both sets where they're on their own.
Apparat
Four Tet - some parts are tasty..

loads more, boiler room is quality... makes work so much more fun...

Can anyone explain what exactly the idea is behind these sets? Is that a nightclub with paying punters, or just a showcase of DJ's? To be honest apart from the tunes, anyone I've seen looks pretty crap in the background.

Back on topic, the best one I've ever seen, wasn't a boiler room set. It was way way way before any of this boiler room malarkey. And there is more atmosphere in this, then any boiler room set I ever did see.
