Nice temps alright. Pity mine runs 20°C hotter.

Seems to be the sweet spot for 90% of them with a 212 evo at least.

I have a disappointing 4770k. Still tweaking when I get the chance. I am getting 80 degree maximums after quick runs of Cinebecn with HT disabled at 4.6ghz. HT adds ~10 degrees to this. About ~1.35v with a DRP2. I am going to borrow some MX4 from a friend and remount the cooler and hopefully knock a few degrees of that temperature.

Actually, there's something. I used some very old Noctua thermal paste when mounting the block (didn't have anything else). Might pick up some MX-4 and, *shudder* remount the block.

If you are anywhere near me in Tullamore, you are welcome to borrow my paste.

Nowhere near I'm afraid, but thanks for the offer. I've been meaning to pick up MX-4 anyway though. I've run out of everything else, and apparently what I have left is terrible. :P

You have dual 7950s right? Stock clocks or minor overclock? How are your temps and how is the performance difference?

I guess the card has been sent back to Germany! (probably the retailer you purchase it off). However, this is strange because whenever I have missed a delivery in Ireland in the past I always collected the package the next day at the AnPost mail centre just outside Galway (my local depot). Last time I checked, if it's an international package they keep it for 10 days, or something like that (It could be 14).

It says on the AnPost site that if you have a problem, such as return to sender, you should CallSave 1850 57 58 59 or call 01-7057600.

    Best of luck.

Sorry should have said I'm the one sending it to Evga in Germany.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,014 ✭✭✭Baked.noodle

Well, if you are returning it to Evga to RMA the card, you should have been given an RMA number, along with an address to send it to. If I were you I'd go over anything that has been sent or e-mailed about the RMA, look for phone numbers and phone the relevant people (probably Evga customer support) to find out more.

I have dual 7970's @ 1050/1500 with stock volts which are watercooled so temps are in the 30/40s. Now its all in one closed loop I will start to go a bit further though and see what I can get out of them :).
Getting 45-60+ fps on ultra on 5760*1200 so happy with that. I'm hoping bf4 will be above 30 with the same settings when its out.

Yeah I'll be firing off emails as soon as I finish work.

Best of luck. I usually phone myself, just to get somebody's name. Worst case, it will probably arrive back at your door.

They are reference sapphire 7970's. I wouldnt notice the issues on ultra on one screen.
I think it would only happen on settings where it you where running one card it would put you below 30fps on some parts then you would get the stutter which is why I was getting it on ultra on 3 screens.

The frame pacing driver is only in phase 1, which applies only to up to 1440p/1600p on one screen. Phase 2 will address the issue on multiple screens.

Yea I know about this and was told by a mate alot that it wouldnt work on 3 screens but it does, bar one little issue. If the next one is better all the better for me.

Problem solved,it would seem that an post don't like to track their packages once they reach the destination country.A quick call to Dhl and everything is sorted.

So pissed off with Dabs at the moment, ordered some stuff on the 23rd July, it came back as Paypal declined for some reason, so I gave them my card details, now randomly 150 euro was debited from my account via PP Dabs (doesn't even cover the order so I've no idea why a random sum was taken like that), but I still have the full order amount pending on my card....so frustrating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

Dabs used to be very fussy about the credit cards. I remember trying about three before I could get one to work. I think you have to use the Verisign security thing even though it gives you an option. I think they might have updated it as I don't remember too much difficulty last time.
I wouldn't order anything from them if I was in a hurry, but they can have very fast delivery if you've ordered from them before and your items are in stock.

I got an email from them this morning saying they were picking the Monitor now, but I've now been charged for a THIRD time....what a nightmare. I've used Dabs a few times before and they were great but this is an absolute nightmare.

Unfortunately things go wrong at some point with some orders with every e-tailer. What makes the like of amazon great is how they deal with these problems when they occur.

Hope you get sorted quickly with minimal hassle, i havent bought off komplett in years, after months ordeal of trying to get a refund during their takeover.
