There's a panic alarm buttons (stuck to the wall). Besides that my mobile and a glass of water. I think that's it.

    Now where's the close button...

I keep a small axe/hatchet by my bed...along with a host of books, odds and ends and phone charger, etc.

With all this talk of break-ins, aggrevated burglary, etc recently it's gotten me thinking. My wife and baby and I sleep upstairs. If I was aware of someone in the house intruding I'd give them fair warning. If they came upstairs to where my family were sleeping I'd aim one swing of said axe at their head as they come up the stairs and make it count. They would have fair warning to go out the way they came. If they came up stairs I'd expect no court would convict me of anything as I would have been acting in self-defence.

*Or I'd just run, hide and sh1t myself

I have a good old fashioned bateing shtick beside the bed and the heartfelt intention to break it over the head of any fúcker who i catch robbing my house. That being said, i'd sleep through an earthquake, so they could most likely break in, riverdance around laughing and joking while they took my stuff and kiss me goodbye full on the lips without disturbing me. :D
But my intention is to bust skulls with my stick!
