London lad needed to go low with that shot, I was actually shouting at the laptop when he hit it chest height for the Cavan keeper, it was a 6 point swing with the Cavan goal - London didn't deserve to lose that by any more than four or five points.

Cork forwards have too much space in opening minutes.

Galway and Cork seem to be having a battle to see who can bring the fewest supporters to Croke Park, it almost sounds like a behind closed doors game. I know both counties have a number of competing sports - and hurling games tomorrow - but it is still a poor enough show, particularly from Cork who have been a successful team.

Seems very flat. Were there even many Cavan supporters there? Don't think the triple is very successful.

    Cracking point by Meehan.

Early days but it's a throwback to years ago of 2 teams playing football, kicking it and with no blanket defences.

Why use hawkeye. Just for show I think.

It was obviously wide. Would the umpire not look up and just wave no over to the lad with the flag?

And in the Cavan game the hawkeye showed the ball going through the blue line. Doesn't that mean it hit the post? So if it hits the post where there is no post it's not a point?

Lots of Cavan fans. Half of them seemed to be leaving after the first game though.

Think rule book says "between the posts" so hitting the virtual post is no score, was a bit unnecessary there alright.

I can see the farmer next spreading slurry next to the Carrick pitch... Smell hasn't worked its way in yet.... Some farmers are bastards

O'Rourke's second Rugby tackle and he goes in the book.

    Tight game, some lovely football.

    Lacks intensity though.

Meehan putting on a show, he loves Croker.

Lads, where is the Cork Galway match being televised? Or is it?!

Galway leading against the wind. Cork don't look anything special so far. The shock might be on.

Thats the reason I'm not in Croker today.

My pockets aren't deep enough to take in both fixtures, (especially with race week coming up). The cost of travelling to Dublin today and paying in for only one game was always going to take second place to tomorrow's plans.

So hurling will always win out for me especially with Cork and Kilkenny on the same bill. €25 into Thurles tomorrow is excellent value for such a double header.

Absolute token effort from some of the Cork boys.

That'll mean a change in approach from Galway - they were targeting him with the balls in.
