I'm one of those odd people who have never bought anything off ebay...this could be the start of something huge!!!!
Buying property is the only way to go, what could possibly go wrong? ;)

Oh, I'll have to set up a paypal a/c too, wont I?

I'm gonna ask him to post it to Ireland and mark it as a gift. Hopefully, it'll dodge customs.

Sure it will be worth a fortune in a few years...:D:D
Did'nt Obama say would change everything for the better during his hour long spoof on College Green..:P
That was the same day as our clown of a failed schoolteacher referred to him as 'the American Dream'.
If Detroit is 'The American Dream' then God help America.!!
And remember that there are many more areas of that once great country where poverty is common place.
But what are usually displayed to the gullible are the bright lights of New York, Las Vegas and San Diego.;)

yeah, I think you will. But hey, a property for 5.50? whats stopping you?

Imagine, you could buy one property a week and build your portfolio that way, then in a years time, swan into Detroit like a Boss:)

Dammit, its gone up to 10.50 now .

What about if the government here gave half of us unemployed the money to buy a few streets. Open a bar...or something..job done! We'd be out of their hair and Detroit would get back on its feet. Sounds so ridiculous it might work?

Sounds very cheap alright, just don't mention to the Irish that dreaded property tax. You'll be lynched! :)

Must be a property boom with prices going up like that, nearly doubled! Gotta get on that detroit property ladder. Rent is dead money...sorry, meant if you rent there you would be dead and they'll take your money.

What if we each buy a place on a cul de sac and wall up the entrance. because its america we can buy guns and guard the entrance shooting everyone comes near. We can call it Little Ireland with a bunch of houses, a pub, shop and post office.

I've no idea. Whats the $250 for?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,340 ✭✭✭deco nate

    "fees" i think..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,800 ✭✭✭Senna

The tax is big if you don't live in the house, so you can/could buy a house for less than $250 but you would pay $3000+/- tax per year. If you live in the house you'd pay next to nothing.
