    8.6 million?

Holy mother! That's the proof that the market is mental right there. I'd give him to pool plus the 40m+1!

Too right, they should be happy with 6.8. Although transfermarkt value him at 8.8

Not sure on the chances of him moving or being interested but if we're throwing 40m bids around what about Reus from Dortmund? Great player

They won't sell and tbh they'd be ****ing insane to. Reus is a serious serious talent.

    2 things

    1) santi not wasted on the wings an will play mostly there next season

    2) wouldn't be too worried if arteta got injured, Ramsey is more than able to cover

Would still like another midfielder though

I would not be surprised to see Ramsey usurp Arteta in that role at some point this season. Arteta is excellent but I think Ramsey is bubbling into a higher gear for the coming season.

Rumours that Higuain's unveiling at Napoli this evening has been canceled. That doesn't mean the transfer is canceled or anything though :pac:

Maybe he failed his medical! It's a sign, he has Arsenal DNA! :P

Napoli have agreed a deal with Jackson Martinez for €40m. Two €40m strikers in one day. Ambition, eh? Another striker down if we lose out on Suarez.

maybe more to this than meets the eye

I think a lot of people in here are a bit harsh on Gerv to be honest he can be menacing at times, yes his final ball and finsihing canleave a lot to be desired.

But I feel he's very much a confidence player watch him for the Ivory Coast and he's a different player, the other players in the squad really look out for him and help him along

He doesn't get that Arsenal and rightly so, but put him in a team were he is indespensible and really think he will flourish.

Plus he's never once moaned or been the press whinging he's a model professional if he does leave I wish him all the best.

Rodgers "If Arsenal want the player, then they have to produce the value for the player," Rodgers told reporters in Australia.

"There was an offer a few weeks ago of £35million and two weeks later it is now £40m and a pound - I don't think it is anywhere near the value of what he is worth.

"But it is twofold, really. A player may want to go, but then somebody has to pay the value or worth of that player."

Thats the end of his Liverpool career I think.

IF its with us or another team remains to be seen

I actually hope it's to us now

So I can have the last laugh at all my Liverpool mates who keep telling me there is no chance it's happening

Joel Campbell on loan to Olympiakos

Bernard's agent calling the cup win a "perfect farewll" and could be having his medical in london tomorrow. Would love if it happens, really snook that one under the radar.

Don't be surprised if he ends up at Porto. Hopefully it is with us though.

Arsenal gone odds on across the board today to sign Suarez. Cant wait to go on a bender for the weekend and be away from all this. Went away for a bit and assumed something would have happpend in the 3 hours I was gone.

    Melter behavior.

I'm mad for him, I think he will have a huge impact. He is a spiteful little p*ick and will be out to piss off a good portion of people next season. I enjoyed how we conducted ourselves the last few years but the financial fair play award won't get people off my back about trophies, the little gypo might. Whatever aboud the clubs image, a few good prefrmances and it iwll all be forgotten about. Bill Clinton got head, lied about it and got back to the top! People move on very qucikly. A lot of our last great players were all a bit ratty Cesc, Paddy V, Adams, Keown, Cole and so on. I hate when people say the like us now, thats cause we dont threaten them. He is a passionate, angry man who enjoys winning. Get him in there and let everyone hate us.

Totally agree on Gerv, I was tipping him to make an impact last season like a tool. Just lacks a ibt of top level direction. Thought he showed a deft touch under pressure at times and seems likable. Admirably conducted himself while with us. Will always wish him well and hope he has a better time at Roma or whoever.

No, think this Suarez deal is going to come back to bite us (no pun intended).

Don't like the lad at all but if he managed with his contribution to push us to the very top you wouldn't argue. We need a catalyst to get us back to where we were early 2000s and he might just be that.

    100%.

I said the same last year before we were linked with him.

Can't think of another player bar Messi & Ronaldo that would have as much of an impact for Arsenal. Competition for Giroud, could also play up front with him sort of as a LWF.

Apparently he's also got the best movement you'll see in a CF and we've got the midfield to exploit it.

Admittedly he's a nasty character but it seems to be all on the pitch. Not that this makes it OK or anything but we could even use a bit of that at times.

I don't think he's worth 50 million but I just want us to go and spend it so I can get on with looking forward to the new season (this is why fans don't make good board members).

He (with 1 or 2 other acquisitions) will turn us from a team fighting for 4th to a team fighting for 1st. Even if its just for a couple of seasons it will be worth it. He'll be a massive great stick for the media et al to beat us with but he 'll be worth it.

Hearing Suarez still wants out of England and can't understand the arsenal links.

    Just on this note,

I've no doubt that we'd get 3 seasons max and he'd be off if Madrid it someone wanted him. Regardless of how we do, I just can't see him staying in one place for two long with the pace he pisses people off.

But we'd recoup our money mostly and if we could even get 3 years of competitiveness, Wenger could hopefully purchase the next Hazard or Ageuro instead of the next Gervinho or Giroud.

We might be able to defend ourselves in a court case but lets be honest we've tapped him up, and given that we wouldn't have bid had he not been interested.

Apparently suarez was talking to a Uruguay journo and was saying he wants out of England, if he goes arsenal he will still feel uncomfortable and on top of that the lfc fans will hate him. He says he can't believe the silly story's that come out about him every day.
