Kilkenny has literally no traffic jams.

True but the traffic lights outside market cross are a pain as are the multiple zebra crossings on the main street!

    I love KK though :)

It's sad to see how a car like this

Them light are a pain alright. The zebra crossings can be annoying too especially when it's busy. I remember doing my driving test last year it was 4.30 on a Saturday in August great weather and every time I stopped at a zebra crossing the amount of people that would cross. At one crossing I stopped and two different hen parties crossed and they were sh!t faced started falling onto the bonnet of the car and all it was funny the driving tester just siting there. The only words he said during the whole test "could you turn on the a/c please. That was a good week passed my test, got my lc results, got my first choice on my Cao and got my astra all in the space of a few days.

I was trawling through donedealing there and came across this

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/opel-astra-bertone/5167936

I like the look of it, however with the amount of miles I do, it would be rather silly to get it, but still it's pretty :P

i drove some sort of petrol engined VW saloon today, it was a 2012 and had DSG, was good craic if i'm honest, a nice bit of poke. kind of shocked at it though, hubcaps, only 4 settings on the heater dial, still felt like it lacking any real equipment on the inside.

Given you dont know the name of the car you were in, it sounds like you may have car jacked someone today.. :D

    joking to a degree :P

it was a passat. really liked the drive of it, but it was my first time driving dsg so it might have just been novelty value.

shocking though a 2012 car in that segment, hubcaps, non metallic grey, un-coordinated exterior trim etc etc

I took my alfa through the port tunnel a few days ago. The sound of the busso engine was amplified tenfold. :D
It would be some craic to get 10 or so cars with nice engines and take them through it.

+1 like for the tunnel run, -1 like for Cork.

The dubs always day this ****, quite funny really. You'd never hear it the other way round. Plus it's got some of the best coast roads in the country for your new motor in this weather!

Post some proper pics when you get a chance too, been eyeing them up myself on dd after seeing your advert. Although this weather would make the prices jump I'd say!

It was a very well behaved drive home, the back only slipped out once. :pac:

I was following behind in the Almera though, I had to get a mate to drive it home. :o

The car does photo well and all for under a grand!
    (going on the advertised price)
Genuinely well wear, and as for driving with the roof down, with the weather we have why the flip not!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,729 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Got it for €900 so it's bangernomics take two. :p
Needs a bit of work so I won't be driving it 'till the weather's turned cold again, do t think that'll stop me getting the roof down though, it's got a serious heater.

(And the battery went flat this morning)

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Balbriggan with reasonable rates. Back doors on megane need to open and close for NCT, currently only open from the inside.
