Time will tell but and looks amazing today.

I stopped backing him completely a couple of years ago when I felt he was losing competitions he should have walked. I got fed up waiting for his putter to 'get hot ' on a weekend.

    His iron play is unreal.

I was going to stop backing him but I kept telling myself if I didn't back him he would probably win and I'd be even more annoyed! Would love to see him win (apart from me winning money) think he deserves a major.

Ah the memories of backing Westwood.

The most annoying seems to be his mental fragility. He is playing amazing stuff then a bogey seems to get inside his head. Why not forget it and focus on EVERYTHING he has done so well.

Do you reckon looking at it might be an idea before slating someone else's view?

I'm not a vet but have never seen a bleeder actually finishing out a race strongly. Neither has anyone I know. Happy to be corrected on that from someone more well versed in equine biology.

As for defaming the vet I know several people who have owned horses, told the stewards it was lame when it wasn't & that was that. No idea if the stewards even bothered to check with a vet but do know it was accepted when there wasn't a thing wrong with the horse

As for how much he'd on, I'm guessing zero as it was a 25/1 rag

Watched the ride there are as suggested. Looked to me like horse lost his action before the 2nd last and then was seriously unbalanced all the way up the straight. One view would be that Barry Cash was the one unbalancing him but IMO you couldn’t dismiss having burst as the explanation.

If Kevin Blake says in his opinion a horse was stopped and the stewards did nothing that is fair enough. He has gone a lot further here. Unlike you he is saying that as a punter he does in fact know more than those versed in equine biology. He is dismissing scientific fact out of hand as irrelevant because it doesn’t fit his visual assessment of the race.

Beyond this Sligo case he is applying his theory across the board and in process defaming every racecourse vet who examines a fancied loser and reports post race abnormalities.

My understanding is that horses behave in all sorts of different ways when something stressful happens mid race. Some stop to nothing in strides. Some experience a surge of adrenaline. I remember Henbit winning the Derby with a broken bone in his foot.

What price was Westwood and what happened since Johner posted? Playing a round in a few hours could be hard my arms got seriously sun burnt yesterday

He was around 4/1 I think. Then he got 3 bogeys on the back 9. Still in with a good chance though on -2.

He is, but the auld mental fragility showed signs of coming to the fore.

President's golf club in Boston, played some terrible stuff but played the last 6 very good. Took me a while to get used to the driver we rented clubs and they were useless

Tried having a €100 treble on the Gaelic Football on Betfair Sportsbook, they wouldn't even take €1. Seemingly they have reached their exposure limit on the market ha ha.

Its actually called The Stock Exchange. Its pretty decent. Nice decor, bit fancy for me. The ****ing stairs up to the place though, sweet ****. Can see many a one falling up and down them. The whole "Stock Exchange" drink idea is pretty cool, although I feel it may be illegal in Ireland? Not sure. Good night though, we were there till all hours.

I would love to see the leader tonight at even par. Just to make tomorrow more fun. Don't hate me for it.

Going to be a tough day and a half for you. Westwood is torture to be on but he is looking mighty impressive. His iron play is so F*ucking impressive.

Classic Westwood! 2 bogeys in a row!

Its beside Easons on Shop Street. Tis like that every night, as far as I know. Will be over 21s. Its not unbelievably cheap or anything. Pretty cheap, but not ridiculous.

    What's the stock exchange theme?

Don't think I can watch the golf tomorrow. Westwood will fuck it up. I never win golf bets anyway.
