I'm tempted to get the special edition for the DLC.

Are Gamestop sold out of the Collector's Edition? Doesn't appear to be on the site unless I'm missing something...

Every Gamestop only got 2 collectors editions in, well that's what I was told in Gamestop anyways.

We want to surprise people with very intense missions from the start. The pace of the game is much faster than any of its predecessors. From the beginning, we want to show off the new game mechanics while creating intense, action-packed gameplay, to capture the player's attention immediately.

Unlike previous GTA's where main characters such as CJ from San Andreas or Niko were newcomers to the city, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are not.

They already have contacts, they are integrated with the world and lead a busy life - these characteristics should give players a sense of immediate and total immersion. That said, all three main characters won't be playable from the start. We want to give the player the opportunity to get to know the three characters individually, and explore the world as each of them, and it would not have been possible if all three had been available from the start.

Grand Theft Auto 5' adds customisable dog, more than 15 wild animals
Grand Theft Auto 5 will contain a customisable dog named Chop and more than 15 wild animals, it has been reported.

Players will have the opportunity to change Chop's collar and buy additional accessories, and can even lose the dog if they fail to look after him, according to Famitsu (via VG247).
In addition to Chop, the game will contain more than 15 wild animals, which, according to the recent gameplay trailer, players will be able to hunt.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will also feature a dedicated underwater mission which can be accessed by Michael and Trevor on jet-skis.

Finally, animations will be improved, with each character given their own individual walking style to add to the realism.

The latest details were announced alongside a Japanese release date of October 10.

Cool, and 1 more question if you don't mind?
How much was the special edition in smyths?
from reading this thread it seems there are three editions of the game. It was in fact the collectors edition I was given a choice of and not the special edition. The price was 130 euro which is far too much to justify buying over the standard edition imo.

I don't care how ridiculous that sounds, but I want it in the game!

    Ah, I see!
Yeah, the collectors edition is quite a chuck of change and it's not for everyone cos of the cost.
I managed to get the special edition pre-ordered on game.co.uk for £55 and was just wondering if it was cheaper in smyths.

But, it looks like gamestop are the only crowd doing the special edition in Ireland, but I personally can't stand that crowd, so I won't be buying it from them haha.

It should be, it is up on it now for pre-order I think, but with a game this size it would probably take a week to download!!

Even the in game stuff doesn't seem worth an extra €20 (for the special edition)

I thought special edition was a good buy - but it seems you cant reserve it anymore (Gamestop) offline and Smyths said they dont have it on their system yet (only the CE and normal)

Does anyone know if its possible to still pre-order the SE of the game?

Its a GS exclusive as far as I know so Smyths wont be getting it.
