Really annoying when you ring up about a car that's only being for sale since Saturday, to find someone is taking it for a test drive.
So I ring back half an hour later to find there's another test drive going on!

By the time I got my bankdraft and just about to head up to Dublin I get a call to say it's sold! I could believe it went that quick.

Are there any prerequisites for these track days or can anyone go?

    Anyone can go.

One of the prerequisites is that you e-mail Mondello a picture of your car in advance of the track day- so they can ensure you are not driving an absolute hape of sh!te. For the actual track days you may need to bring a helmet. These were provided to us for the track training day. I don't know if you can get one off Mondello for the normal open day.

You can bring passengers too- first one is free and I think a tenner per person after that.

That's the exact part that broke on my car last round, the bit that attaches the seat tonthe steering wheel

Probably, but with that spec and low miles will be hard to get again.
I just didn't think it would have sold as quick as it did

They're always the one that will fly off

I'm in a somewhat similar boat to yourself, I'm after a saab 9-3 diesel, but I want the vector model, in black, can I find one? Not a hope! and I bet a soon as one comes around it'l be gone like poo off a stick

How simple do you guys reckon it would be to retrofit this AUX in cable into the e60?

Getting pretty peeved at using cd's again!

    One of two ways

    Very easily, or, Incredibly difficult

Wow that narrows it down :P

I want to at least try it myself, as I dont want to pay someone to do something I can do myself. For £20 odd quid there is no risk!

What can I say? I'm full of knowledge on the subject :pac:

Sure if you think you can diy it, then by all means do

it's only 22 quid, surely it's worth the risk?

-later on the today I did something with my car thread-

So lads I ended up having to strip down the entire car to get the aux unit in, does anyone know how to reassemble a 5 series?? :pac:

I put an aux in to my focus cost 10 euro for the adapter. It took literally 5 minutes to do. Pull out radio plug the adapter into rear of radio run lead out through glovebox tidy the whole lot up job done. Still works perfect 3 months later. Unfortunately I don't think it will be as simple a job in the BMW.

Me either oddly enough, as I heard somewhere before, the bigger the car the bigger the job

That's what I figured... i've bought it now!
Next step... installing! I've been focusing too much on fixing the minor stuff on the golf before selling it (Lately the mirror is loose and the door handle doesnt work on the passenger front door), so it will be a pleasure to be bettering the e60 instead

    OLGA needs tunez!

Sweet, the arse has fallen out of the market well and truely, cracking cars for little money. Kudos for the pop-up light version :D

Was that blue was a stock colour?

I'm a fan of OEM but the alloys on that aren't half bad, I would restock the steering wheel...best of luck with the sale, hope you've been trailing the mx5 forums for a watch list of issues to look out for.

Cheers lads, yep I've an ex-boardsie coming along with me.

The paint is Mazda Mariner Blue, not too many of them about in that colour. The real challenge will be finding the hard top to match!

    Wheel wise... :D

Yet more shenanigans today but am too tired to upload pics..... Moving a car with 2 wheels and no subframe is quite a challenge without a forklift or teleporter!

Anyone want to swap for a teleporter? :p

Tomorrow might be busy too....! ;)
