I've never understood some people's fascination with The Smiths, however I have detected some some sort of common indeterminable quality in those who are fascinated by The Smiths. I ask you fellow boards registered users to help ascertain this quality or qualities these individuals possess assuming it's not a figment of my imagination.

Eh, maybe because they were very good and have a unique sound? Miles better than a lot of the cookie cutter rubbish that passes for music these days. The Smiths, The Cure and Joy Division EPIC.

All music goes stale after a while though. Wish was my favorite album but it just sounds so dated now. Hated Wild Mood Swings when it was released but have recently found myself listening to that. I thought I'd never get tired of listening to the house music that was big around the mid noughties but that's starting to sound old too. :cool:
