No, no it's not. The drug itself is not dangerous. It only becomes dangerous when it's mixed with some crap by unscrupulous crims. The longer it stays underground the more people will die.

In Holland they used to have a police presence at large raves, they'd test your stuff for you figuring they were never going to stop kids from taking it, at least they could try to stop kids from dying from taking dodgy stuff.

Should be but busting people is higher on the agenda.. You can't report number of lives saved as easily as number of people arrested.

To be fair, cocaine could probably also be made safer with regulation, just not as safe as MDMA could be. It's a matter of where we draw the line really. I think cocaine is a stretch but MDMA could be included.

The problem being discussed here however, is that people think they're buying one thing but are actually being given another potentially lethal substance. You cannot tell me this problem would not be solved or at least helped by legalization and regulation. No matter what your views are on drugs you surely can't argue with this?

One of the major problems with pure cocaine is that people don't know how much they are getting because their stuff is usually cut with something else.

It is possible to overdose on water but people tend to know how much they can drink! Again you have to admit regulation would go a long way to solving this problem

1. I think the main reason people overdose on paracetamol is through addiction and then them increasing their intake over time to retain the feeling from taking the drug. Obviously increased intake leads to the risk of overdose!

there's no such thing as pure cocaine, even the best cocaine in the world is probably at 70%. Pure cocaine would kill you stone dead just like pure alcohol would kill you stone dead.

Ordinary cocaine around the 40% or less mark would be more than enough for most people to have a great time.

one is water the other is cocaine, it's pretty easy to tell the difference. Water intoxication can be achieved once you go over 2 liters in one sitting. It's what kills most people that were said to have died from ecstasy.

If you have somewhere that you can get the pills analysed then of course you would have a measure of control. The problem is people taking them without any clue of what's in them.
